“But in the end, we fucked it all up. – It should’ve been so sweet too.” -Nicky Santoro

Michele Fiore could have legally grifted the right for the rest of her life and lived quite comfortably. She was never going to get elected to statewide office, but she might have been a Congressperson or, at the very least, could have kept her cushy JP job.

I am thankful that the Commission has found a way to keep her off the bench without undermining the law in order to do so. We can’t subvert the law to save the law.

Has she ever once apologized to the families and widows of the two officers? Of the people she stole the money from? Her expectation was that Trump would pardon her, she would keep the money, never apologize and then return to the bench and render judgment against others. What a fucking sociopath.

Maybe it’s time for Michele Fiore to go out and get a regular job like a regular person.

The best thing she can do is leave the state. Her smug “I’m going to get away with it” attitude has turned everyone away.

You should read the comments from the MAGA base. She has definitely not turned everyone away. Michele Fiore is a victim of LAWFARE.

She was a VICTIM of the LIBERAL DEEP STATE who committed LAWFARE against her solely because she was a Trump supporter.

(Let’s be real, details don’t matter to some people)

You may be right. But, its not like juries (especially federal juries) never get it wrong.

And it’s not like the jury got it wrong here.

She 100% did it.

Yeah, exactly how do you know that? I am not standing up for her and maybe she did do it.

I am just trying a glean how exactly a supposed attorney well practiced in objectivity can speak in such absolutes.

It was an obvious set-up. Officers Beck and Soldo coordinated their deaths at the hands of anti-government white supremacists. The killers camoflauged their pro-Bundy stance using a Gadsden flag and a swastika, long the symbols of the left. This was all done to force Michele Fiore into raising funds for an already-paid-for memorial without consulting the families of either of the conspirators-in-beige. Having raised funds, she was tricked into spending them for rent and plastic surgery, and it was only the corruption of Judge Dorsey who was appointed by Obama 12 years before specifically to handle this LAWFARE against a patriot that allowed it to continue.

Lawfare all the way.

Am I reading it right? It sounds like the judicial commission is saying that because she hasn’t returned the money, she is continuing to defraud the donors. Is every day she doesn’t return the money a new crime of fraud? I’m not a Fiore fan but that sounds like they’re claiming that even though she was pardoned for her crimes, that it doesn’t count if she doesn’t unwind the crime for which was was convicted and return the funds to the donors. That’s like saying if someone steals money that even after they’re convicted of the crime, serves their time, and gets out, that if they haven’t returned the money even 20 years later, they’re still committing the same crime on and on every day. The language I’m quoting is ““[Fiore] continued to defraud the donors by keeping donations to which she was not entitled and continued to fail to notify them she used their funds for personal expenses instead of for the statue,”

It’s not a perfect comparison, but I think they’re kind of treating the pardon more like a sealed criminal record. The expunged record can’t be used as proof of a crime. But, as the NSC has said a few times: “It is clear, however, that such authorized disavowals cannot erase history. Nor can they force persons who are aware of an individual’s criminal record to disregard independent facts known to them.” See Zana v. State, 125 Nev. 541 (2009)

I refuse to spend one more minute of my limited time on earth worrying about Michele Fiore. If the chuckleheads out in Pahrump want her, they can have her. That’s up to them. Let’s move on to this Tony Hsieh will thing. It all sounds very Melvin and Howard to me. Discuss.

Melvin was telling the truth.

It makes sense that the will surfaced at 47 East South Temple. In 1974, Howard met with SWK in Salt Lake City. Howard asked, “What must I do to be saved?” After a long, thoughtful pause, SWK locked eyes with Howard, and said, in an earnest, Yoda-esque voice, “Where there’s a will, there’s a way, Brother Howard.”

Still enjoying the content – and I know the blog is in a transition period – but the “Ad Placeholders” narrow the screen, make it more difficult to navigate, and generally just look like crap. Again, just feedback, I will continue to utilize and enjoy (except when the wackos get involved) my free access

Don Jr.’s & Peter Thiel’s inaugural Enhanced Games (aka “Steroid Olympics”) to be announced tomorrow here in LV. If games are in LV or another city in the U.S., it’ll be interesting to see city/state/federal government response (if any)

Lawdog, can I give a suggestion? It would be less annoying and probably more effective advertising if instead of putting the ads on the sides, they were inline with the comments. Kinda like you see ads scrolling facebook or instagram. Of course you wouldn’t want too many, but I would prefer that.

Their high school counselor?

Also, if they’re only looking now?? They’re hosed. That’s what junior year and the first semester of senior year was for. It’s kind of like trying to line up a summer clerkship in May.

Definitely not a defense verdict in name, but Plaintiff’s failure to convince the jury to award punitive damages is the biggest takeaway (and is a major L for Plaintiffs who have gone through so much). Uncollectible award, and now dischargeable in BK. So, from a mechanical/litigation perspective it was a “defense verdict”.
