Ho-Lee Crap. The NVcourts case search has migrated to https://acis.nvcourts.gov/portal/home, and it is hot garbage. Can’t seem to view any documents at the moment, and the search by case name is completely broken. For example, sometimes I search by words that appear in the title, like “Discipline” or “Rules.” The cases that do appear are woefully incomplete.

Yep, I tried to search by party name for “State Bar” as I usually do, and it was a complete mess! How will I ever keep up with the bar gossip and trash from the OBC?

Not at the moment, it could be a possibility in the future.

Why are you surprised? Our courts’ use of technology has always had implementation issues. Whether it is inadequate testing, incompetence, or an attitude of let’s release it and see if it works, there has always been a problem.

Hello I’m Chuck with the Nevada AOC. If you are willing to email me specific examples at CRahn@nvcourts.nv.gov, I can route those issues to the appropriate people so we can look into them. Any details you can provide, such as case numbers, search terms, screenshots, or examples of documents you expected to find, would be helpful.

The kinds of issues you mentioned, including incomplete results, case-name search problems, or documents not displaying, are exactly the kinds of things where concrete examples can be tested and routed to the right technical team.

I know that does not fix the problem in the moment, but I do appreciate the feedback. Specific examples will help us identify what is not working as expected and get it in front of the people who can address it.
