McDonald's Carano does employment? Interesting. In front of Allf, very interesting.
I don't think this case would be classified as an employment law case…
Oh, I thought it was his dismissal case.
It is. But he's not suing his employer (i.e., the Raiders).
Mirandu Du was the chair of labor and employment law section of McDonald Carano before joining the bench. Yes they do labor and employment law.
Miranda is fun.
Judge Du is great, but she's *such* a Miranda…
Hey Gruden, did you write the comments or not?
I like Du's assistant, that is it.
This is hilarious.

Super eyeroll.
Am I seeing things in that skirt she is wearing? I read through her website and didn't see any listing of companies or clients she has helped in the past or testimonials. I think that would be helpful for any potential client to determine credibility.
That's a nice Porsche she has there.
Can't wait for the facts to come out in this one. Looks juicy.
I tried to schedule a phone call but nothing happened. How come I can't schedule a phone call?
Any guesses on who the NFL retains as local counsel?
Briefcase carriers for someone coming in from NY. BTW: I believe Gruden that he has been singled out as a sacrificial lamb. But you are still a lamb Gruden because you wrote and said those things.
What is interesting, is what was said by the other side, the other person, in each message.
Gruden's comments appear to have been handpicked out of 600K something messages.
I hope its me. Being local counsel is a sweet gig lol.
Actual law question: Has anyone calculated what the actual tolling period for Rule 41(e), the five year rule, would be based on the Covid orders and ADKT 560?
122 days. March 31 to July 31 (30 days April, 31 in May, 30 in June and 31 in July).
Right, but there was also a "pause" from 11/24/20 until 2/1/21, and wasn't 30 days tacked on to the March-July period?
I wanted to weigh in on this because I think it is really important and some of the information above is potentially wrong. 4:35 is correct in part. Emergency Directive 009 extended statutes of limitation (make sure you read that "statutes" only) for 122 days.
However there is an unpublished Nevada Supreme Court case out there that states the the Governor's Directives and EJDC Administrative Orders do not impact deadlines under Court Rules. "The Declaration of Emergency Directive 009 (Revised) does not apply to deadlines established by this court's rules."
Byrd v. Byrd, 2020 Nev. Unpub. LEXIS 794 (August 2020).
There is an ADKT that specifically provides for tolling during any period that jury trials are suspended.
I have searched the ADKTs and did not see one that specifically addressed this provision. Do you have the ADKT Number?
