I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Amador on a few cases. He was always a gentleman to me and very well prepared. And maybe not important but I should add was a very snappy dresser.
I knew Michael Amador when he was a law clerk in the DA's office. What was his cause of death? I saw the Margaret Rudin documentary on television over the weekend and I knew it left out a lot of facts. Like the blood on the ceiling which supposedly came from Ron Rudin's nose bleed.
The memorial service for Michael Amador will be held at The Crossing Church 7950 W. Windmill Ln, Las Vegas, NV 89113 on Friday March 26, 2021 @ 11:00AM.
This is tragic. I have listened to a lot of Daft, especially when I was high.

I'm not a fan of the police, but that guy was an idiot. He showed up a protest where everyone was expecting violence. He had multiple guns on him, including a concealed weapon. He refused to disperse when the cops were trying to disperse the crowd and then he approached the police with his guns. After being hit with bean bag rounds, he took off. Honestly, what did he think was going to happen?
I feel bad for his family, but I also think the guy had some serious issues…and why all the guns? Just dumb.
Whether you liked him or not, the classier thing to do would be to just leave it at "I feel bad for his family." The guy just died. Let's leave him alone now that he can no longer hurt you.
Just based on the article, I don't get how it goes from asking him to disperse to fearing he had a baseball bat to use of lethal force. Unless I am missing something, he was legally carrying and was only asked to disperse. Hardcore lib here too.
I'm 11:38. I'm not saying I only want speech that only I agree with. I'm suggesting not smearing the name of someone that just passed on. Whether we know the person well or not it just seems like not smearing him is taking the higher road. I don't need to "get over myself".

Any good resources that outline the current status of ability of residential landlords to evict in Clark County?
Governor Sisolak signed Emergency Directive 36 which extended the eviction moratorium to March 31, 2021. It said, in part:
“The provisions of this Directive shall go into effect on December 15, 2020 at 12:01 a.m. and shall remain in effect until March 31, 2021 at 11:59 p.m., unless sooner amended or terminated by a subsequent Directive promulgated pursuant to the March 12, 2020 Declaration of Emergency to facilitate the State's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, or upon dissolution or termination of the Declaration of Emergency.”
But, to be eligible for the moratorium, the tenant must fill out and give to the landlord a Declaration which says :
o they are unable to pay their rent,
o have tried to obtain rental assistance,
o have made their best efforts to pay partial rent,
o have either received a stimulus payment or will make less than $99,000 this year, and
o eviction might leave the tenant homeless or forced into a group living situation.
The CDC order does allow evictions of tenants if they:
o Engage in criminal activity while on the premises;
o Threaten the health or safety of another resident;
o Damage or pose an immediate and significant risk of damage to the property;
o Violate any applicable building code, health ordinance, or similar regulation relating to health and safety; or
o Violate any other non-financial contractual obligations.
A landlord who violates the CDC order may be fined up to $100,000 — $250,000 if the violation results in a death — and be sentenced to one year in jail. A business that violates the CDC order may be fined up to $200,000 — $500,000 if the violation results in a death — per each event.
Nevada Supreme Court adopted a new eviction mediation program to steer certain types of eviction cases into mediation in the hopes that landlords and tenants could resolve their disputes themselves, instead of arguing in court, thereby reducing the number of people in the courthouse during the COVID-19 pandemic. 11:46–I'm not 11:38 but it is clear that 11:38 was not seeking to use governmental edict, or some significant private force of citizenry, to suppress 11:20's political, religious, philosophical, or other views.
11:38 merely suggested that 11:20 wait until the remains are no longer warm before eviserating the deceased.
So, if 11:46 is truly an attorney, and truly understands free speech, the First Amendment, etc., it should be clear that 11:38's mere request or suggestion for basic decency has nothing to do with official suppression of speech.
11:38, like 11:20, is merely expressing an opinion, and no one is attempting to forcefully suppress anyone. But people are allowed to make overtures for basic decency, which is what 11:38 did.
So, actually I agree with two of the three posters. Candidly I agree with 11:20's assessment, but likewise agree with 11:38's suggestion that 11:20 could have waited. I do NOT agree with 11:46 that 11:38 is suggesting speech suppression.

What is wrong with SCOTUS? At least hear it and give clear guidance. Now, 2022 and 2024 might fracture the Republic.
Respect to Justice Thomas, easily the best of them:
One wonders what this Court waits for. We failed to settle this dispute before the election, and thus provide clear
rules. Now we again fail to provide clear rules for future
elections. The decision to leave election law hidden beneath
a shroud of doubt is baffling. By doing nothing, we invite
further confusion and erosion of voter confidence. Our fellow citizens deserve better and expect more of us. I respectfully dissent.
Michael Amador passed away from Margaret Rudin case.
Is there an obituary?
You mean his representing her killed him?
I don't know. KTNV reported after Margaret Rudin program.

Thank you for whoever posted this. This is sad. Prayers to his family.
Both Amador and Momet passed. Amador just recently. Amador and Momet were both very good lawyers.

So you only want speech that you agree with? Get over yourself.
