I find it funny that the article is entitled "District attorney plans to charge Las Vegas teen as an adult in apparent intentional hit-and-run". Apparent? It's literally on video.
Come on yall. This is a law blog. Not everything is fodder for your culture war. Papers have to caveat the facts to avoid getting sued for defamation. That's journalism 101, it's "alleged," "apparent," or something similar to avoid the inevitable lawsuit when someone is acquitted.
10:14 is correct. I live less than a mile from the scene of the homicide. I come down Tenaya and drove upon the scene probably 20 minutes after it happened (they closed Tenaya and were diverting traffic already). I bike Tenaya and the bike path than abuts right there and now this area. This one hits close to home for me. But I understand the qualifier in the headline.

CCSD filed the lawsuit and CCEA filed the anti-slapp motion to dismiss not the other way around
See, just like the old days. Casino managers scheme with shady players using shady taco stand owner's son for cover and misdirection.
Better to have left the Mafia run the strip. No crime (other than skimming and a few desert burials), controlled prostitution, no porn advertising on the strip.
As an aside, is there any difference between skimming and aggressive taxation?

Vegas-related. This scandal involves a lot more than the removal of a casino president. Eyes are also on Gaming Control Board member George Assad and attorney David Chesnoff, among others.
FIRST! WOOHOO!!

Better than the first reporting, which only called it a Bicycle Accident
None dare call it premeditated murder.
10:13 the story doesn't exactly fit the PC narrative, hence the language

CCSD usually hires sub-par counsel to represent them. CCEA is not much better. Let's see where the chips fall. Both garbage organizations.
CCSD was represented by Greenberg Traurig for years….just saying. Not that I disagree with your comment.
I remember all those weird Sibella stories last year. Never surprised when there's fire after that kind of smoke.
The fire started at MGM several years ago. Resorts World is just collateral damage. Powerful people protect powerful people in this town.
Just this town?

There is no secret in the VitalVegas/John L. Smith/Nevada Current articles who the members of the legal community who were implicated are.
Enlighten us with no street contacts. Who do tell?
