I am sorry to hear that Villaini is retiring. He is one of the decent judges on the bench. Good luck on your retirement.

Will he be replaced by a Deputy DA or PD that has no private practice experience? Probably female??

I helped his chambers as a law clerk when his was out Judge first started from being a DA. Unlike many of those that come from criminal, I thought really dedicated himself to learning civil and seemed to grasp how major the learning curve was fro the start.

Villani is a good judge and even better human being. I don't know why he is retiring but it is a true loss to the legal community.

Villani was a decent man and good judge (candidly better than I thought he would be prior to taking the bench). I knew him in private practice when he practiced with Cory Hilton and Tamela Kahle. He seems to be the last of those 3 doing anything.

Are we sure the THWACK guy is one person?

Or maybe it's a compilation of people, every day taking on the noble duty of yelling THWACK.

This is what keeps me up at night.

Will there be a special filing period for Villani's seat before the November election?

The deadline for Department 9 is July 22. So will Villani's seat be the same?

So a client and I called DETR. 65 times on Thursday before we got through. Rep said there was nothing we could do we would just have to wait for a call from adjudicator. We said when will that be? She replied, "We have a backlog to last October." Oh this system is not a total disgrace.

Awful. My client is waiting over 2years on benefits. Appeal waiting 2 years. Client received a threatening letter from fraud claiming wage underreporting when nothing was unreported. Sisolak clean up the damn mess. DETR is illegal or we will vote Lombardo.

Zero chance of that. Lombardo = Sisolak; Rep = Dem.
Both are Uniparty.

One half of the "Uniparty" is actively trying to erode trust in institutions, prevent people from voting, roll back laws on basic human privacy, and is willing to burn the house down in order to stay in power. The other side has positions I disagree with, but on the whole would prefer more people voting to fewer, has advocated for fewer violent acts from law enforcement, and is willing to stand up for my 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 14th amendment rights, although the are less certain about the necessity of the 2nd.

No, I don't see a Uniparty at all. These halves are not the same.

It would help if it were not a red or a blue wave, but a wave of common senses without pandering to the extreme left or right.

Wave of common sense is a red wave. I'm not as optimistic as some for one, but it's the only way to stop the bleeding the blue side has caused this country.
