Kids are going to work in the office. If I have to work, they have to work. Plus they are doing summer acceleration classes so this can help with a structured environment.
Yep. “Summer acceleration” is free summer school and collectively all the kids are behind so it makes sense. And why do they have to go for a half Fay on a Monday to end the year. Poor planning

We rent a place in Laguna Beach for the summer and I work from there for 3 months. Kids go to beach every day.
10:22 has the best summer program, but I do like 11:27's approach as well, especially if the kids help out.

As far as the criminal defendant asking for new court-appointed counsel, that would seem difficult.
If she references lack of sufficient communication, that won't work. If she says they are not working hard enough for her, that won't work. If she says they wont accept or adopt her desired strategies and tactics, that won't work.
I assume the judges would need to be convinced that things have broken down to the point that there is a real risk of there being "inefficient assistance of counsel" from a constitutional perspective.
Who can shed some light on what actual standard will be applied?

12:50, I kind of look at it the same way, and that the judge would need to be convinced the relationship is so irretrievably broken that error would be built into the record if new counsel is not appointed.
27 years and 4 days ago, I moved to Las Vegas right out of law school. Passed the bar that year. Practiced here for almost 27 years. Paid off my student loans quickly and then saved what is now just shy of $5m. Tomorrow, I'm leaving and I'll be in semi-retirement. Las Vegas and the State Bar of Nevada can suck the last fart from my butt. I am done. Going to a place with intelligent people, natural vegetation, lots of water, and lots of time to fish. See ya.
So curious where you're going that has those things (I'm nearing retirement myself and while I actually do like it here, I'm open to relocating to someplace a bit more retirement-friendly)
Congrats 3:18!! I don't want to start a rush up here based on my anon blog post, but I retired to Utah and absolutely love every minute of it. I lived in Vegas most of my adult life. Nice people here, low crime, beautiful weather, etc. I never made it to 5M but enough to be just fine. And by the way, I absolutely agree with your sentiments re the State Bar haha – good luck friend!!
I applaud you for this 3:18. But as someone who spent her childhood in South Carolina, I find it funny that your first descriptor of the state is that it's filled with intelligent people. If that's your perception, you are going to be in for a rude awakening.

It's good to be 11:27. Curious, how much do you pay for that?
when the kids are a little older and hopefully the income keeps commensurately rising i hope to do something similar. Great to hear 11:27.

Minnesota is a little humid this time of year
Congratulations to you ! That's a significant accomplishment.
