Jack Eichel scored with seven seconds left in overtime and the Vegas Golden Knights beat the Winnipeg Jets 2-1 on Sunday night to improve to 8-2-0.

Raiders – are they still playing, or just showing up for a paycheck? Unspoken, but they are so uncoordinated that one wonders if the problem is internal tensions between players.

They are a great regular season team. They will choke again in the playoffs if they make it.

No playoffs in Raiders future. 2-5 through 7 games when they only had 7 losses last year.

Wondering why my post about Telles was deleted? It is a posted story above to comment on. I asked what I thought was a good legal question. Serious inquiry. Thank you.

Inquiring minds want to know–what was the article. Where should we look?

the question was about whether it's okay for that group of people from that office to show up at the hearing.

Why wouldn't it be? It's a public hearing. As long as they were on PTO while attending the hearing, I see no issue.

Wondering why the comment "Impeach Garland" was deleted. There's an article posted by the Mods about Garland. Is Garland beyond scrutiny?

Comment: Censorship is a slippery slope. What is acceptable and what is not is a lot like going to the big box store for a gallon of white paint, where you will find at least 50 shades.

I don't know Saxe, but I've dealt with Baucum. I voted for Saxe. I think the ethics complaint is nonsense. Saxe makes a good point…she gets work emails on her iphone like the rest of us. The article makes it sound like a 1 time thing. Nothing burger.

Thought the same thing….one email, who cares. Baucum probably thought she had this won when it started, now she’s grasping at straws as Saxe has endorsements, etc.

I think differently. I know her, unfortunately. You are not allowed to use county time or resources to campaign. If its wrong. Plus I have seen her campaign. She picks a cause fir the day for gain. No

Only one email ever sent from the work account strongly suggests it was an accident, just like she said.

Those of us who practiced in front of Baucum for years are voting Saxe. Baucum is not nice to people except when she’s campaigning. She really seems to lack any empathy for anyone.

I'm looking for medical experts in a case — not extremists who will rubber stamp one side's opinions, but rather someone who will give me a straight analysis and honest thoughts. Does anyone know of anyone like that?

And yes, I know that "medical" is pretty broad, but I'd rather get a wide variety of chiros, pain docs, and surgeons that I might use in the future, than limit it now.

I did both defense and plaintiff work in med-mal in LA for about 10 years. You are right, there are legit and hacks. A process that works pretty well is to get a general opinion (you will need this anyway) and then ask the reviewer for the specialty areas involved. Ask the reviewer to teach you the medicine and treatment implicated. Obviously, if the issue is the negligence of a thoracic surgeon you need to find a thoracic for your expert. In LA I needed an out-of-town expert only two times. Both times for high dollar cases where I needed a true nationally recognized expert in the field.

Most doctors that are true experts in their field have no interest in legal battles. Once they get hired in a legal matter they start advocating and lose their independence.

Hey why hasn't Olsen been disbarred for this perjury he committed on behalf of disgraced former BC city attorney Steve Morris

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhk_USo7xk4

It makes a mockery of the whole legal profession when he can go in there and blatantly lie with the most obviously fake story imaginable, have it directly contradicted by video-taped testimony that he gave previously, and still have no consequences whatsoever.

Equally incompetent is BC city government who were purportedly trying to nail Morris for an ethics violation and yet failed to mention this egregious behavior to the ethics board, allowing him to worm his way out of another situation while he (Morris) pretends to be the victim of religious discrimination.

I am not an attorney, but can someone who is, please report this to the bar?

John Hunt

Mr. Hunt: Couple of comments: (1) you do not have to be an attorney to file a bar complaint. (2) Appears from your video that you have counsel (Mr. Stubbs) and can ask him for assistance. (3) Posting at 4 am makes the post lose some modicum of reasonableness. (4) Anyone who knows anything about BC knows that it is a incestous hotbed; this is not a surprise.

Boulder City thread–Dave Olsen was the City Attorney before Steve Morris. He retired. He did a good job for the City and was well thought of amongst his colleagues. Sounds more like the complaint is an Ethics in Government issue than a bar complaint. Ethics Commission complaints are mostly a waste of time.

How long do you have to turn in your mail in ballot?

You have two options:

(1) Return a voted mail ballot by hand delivery to a polling location or ballot drop box no later than 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8.

(2) Return a voted mail ballot by mail, but it must be postmarked on or before November 8 and be physically received by election officials by 5 p.m. by Saturday, November 12. If there is no postmark, it must arrive by 5 p.m. on Friday, November 11 (since that is a holiday, practically speaking that means Thursday, November 10).

The USPS does not routinely postmark business reply mail, which is how return election mail is metered, so you would physically have to hand the mailpiece to a USPS mail clerk and ask them to manually cancel (i.e. postmark) the mailpiece.

Some have reported delays with USPS, so if you're going to return your mail ballot by USPS, do so as soon as possible. If you're within a few days of the election, I would hand deliver a voted mail ballot it a polling location or ballot drop box. You don't need to wait in line for in-person voting; tell election workers you are simply dropping off a voted mail ballot.

You cannot hand deliver a voted mail ballot anywhere after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8.

There have been no lines at the in person voting sites and where you drop off your ballot. No excuse.
