With ballots set to start arriving in mailboxes next week, it’s time to talk about the contested judicial races featured on that ballot. We welcome your comments on the qualifications of the candidates as well as any information you can offer to help voters make an educated decision. Just remember to keep your comments appropriate and try to avoid defamation.
For District Court Judge, Department 3, the candidates are:
- Ganz, Adam
- Trujillo, Monica
Monica. Ganz is pompous and disrespectful. He's a case of black robe disease waiting to happen. Vote Monica.
Agreed. I know basically nothing about Monica, but I think Ganz is a disaster waiting to happen.
Wholeheartedly agree.
Adam Ganz. Has the experience, intellect, and demeanor to be a good judge.
I disagree. Don't know Monica at all, but she has my vote
Ganz does not have the demeanor to be a good judge. He frequently becomes unhinged and reactive. 9:56 is either Ganz, or has never seen him in a contentious hearing or at trial. I think indicative of his incompetence, is the lack of his professional adversaries acknowledging and agreeing that he has the temperament to sit on the bench. Find me one of Ganz's adversaries that will put themselves behind such a statement, without being paid or otherwise compensated for doing so. Ganz may be putting on a performance now to garner votes, but he is definitely a poor choice for the bench. Presumably, he has Eglet money and influence in his corner, so that will be why he wins, nothing more nothing less. If he's on the bench, anyone before him will see that he cannot resist the urge to make assumptions, interrupt, and condescend. If he's not elected, in true Ganz form, you can expect sore loserville.
No Ganz.
Not sure why there is so much negative on Ganz. I previously worked for a firm that had cases against Ganz. He was always fair, respectful, hard working. He has run a solid campaign, put in a tremendous amount of work. I look forward to seeing him on the bench in January.
Ganz is the way to go in this race. With him you know exactly what you will get. He is honest and forthright and will give everyone a fair shake. Trujillo on the other hand is very disingenuous when she describes her experience because she is just lacking. She is death penalty qualified, but she has never first-chaired a death penalty case. She claims to have a lot of trial experience, but it is mostly, if not all, second chair and her courtroom experience is primarily justice court. She is too immature for this position at this point.
I worked with Adam at Vannah's office and worked with his firm, Ganz & Hauf. I always found him passionate about the law, intelligent, meticulous, hard working and always fair in his analysis of the cases. I learned a lot from him as a new attorney in 2002 and throughout the years. I have no hesitation in voting for him and telling my family to do so. I think he will be a great choice.
