It's possible. Case No. A-11-643990-C. Bulla stated that she would be reporting attorneys to the state bar if she uncovered unethical violations at a hearing on the 11th.

I was there too. Allegations that Mark Hutchinson was involved in a conspiracy to commit fraud. Crazy. And Kutner had a criminal attorney present.

How is Kutner v. Daly still going on? Has to be about 5-year ruled by now doesn't it?

Looks like Kutner has no understanding of how this all makes him look: The judge also is asked to order Gibbs to remove a bumper sticker from her car saying, "ADAM KUTNER SUCKS."

Can somebody tell me, does she have the burden of proving that KUTNER SUCKS, or does he have the burden of proving he doesn't suck?

In "normal" defamation cases, the person responsible for making the defamatory remark has the proof of burden to show it is true…but here i would say that "adam kutner sucks" is clearly an opinion and not based on any specific factual allegation (which is needed to make it actual defamation)

I actually don't mind his ads and billboards. The Cogburn billboards are a pet peeve of mine though, so to each his own.

Law Professor claims top law school will close soon because enrollments are way down. Does anyone know which school?

it says "top law school" which means not Cooley…unless you are going by Cooley's own law school rankings, where it placed itself in 2nd place…after Harvard *lol*

History lesson: up until18 years ago, there were only two states in the union without a law school: Nevada and Alaska. That means there was low competition for lawyers here. A license to practice law was lucrative for even the laziest, shittiest lawyers out there. Then a private, out-of-state law school looked into opening a branch here. The powers that be realized that if there would be a law school here, they'd rather have some control over it, so the legislators approved funding for Boyd Law. Now instead of having a pulse being the principal requirement to make a living here as a lawyer, the lazy, shitty lawyers have realized that they can only eat what they kill. Hustling for a paycheck sucks when it used to be so automatic. That's why all the Cal Western, Thomas Jefferson, Golden Gate grads that used to reign supreme here hate Boyd.

Sorry 6:07. You have it all wrong. The majority of lawyers in Nevada until recently attended law schools like California Western and McGeorge. Thomas Jefferson came later after they secured ABA accreditation. Cal Western and McGeorge even had classes and programs for Nevada folks. There was never a lawyer shortage in Nevada. The supply and demand were in balance. The UNLV Law School has flooded the market and has also brought a flood of out of towners who now have two chances to pass the bar. We now have as many new lawyers every year as a place like Arizona. UNLV Boyd would never make it on its own without the huge funding from the State (believe it is about 35 million a year according to what was reported). The Boyd law school now allows every police officer, probation officer, paralegal, and doctor take a shot at being a lawyer. The law school has simply flooded the market and you are now seeing many unemployed new lawyers. The old timers in smaller firms still have a lot of business and connections. Many of them are the very local best lawyers. It has also gotten very competitive from out of town law firms from Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco. The invasion from the out of town law firms have decimated or absorbed a lot of home grown law firms. This nothing short of amazing. The out of town firms bring pedigree lawyers from top schools and leave the crumbs for Boyd. They put a lot of incumbents out of business (insurance defense, construction defect, and commercial litigation are the best examples available.) Boyd is not the only cause but is a substantial cause of the glut. Big firms are now big business dominated by the big firms previously mentioned.
