Watching the hearings. Is Stephen Castor a Boyd '13 grad? Just wondering.
GDub grad.
He wishes.
Castor or Coston? Who did what?

Thanks, Karen Whelan. Glad to see you on here!
Aside from the issue of whether Trump's tweet amounts to witness intimidation, how stupid is he, on a scale of 8-10, to send that tweet?
An absolutely uncontrollable client. He'd be a nightmare to represent.
11.
But on the scale of dumb things he's done, maybe a 4.
Dow up 28,004.89! 'Merica! Thankful for TRUMP
You do realize that the US stock market is owned by people and businesses across the globe, right? On the other hand, the massive deficit trump has expanded is entirely owned by us, the US citizen.
In other words, a high stock market value doesn’t by itself equal a good or sustainable economy. Short term gains at the expense of the future all for trump’s political points.
Obummer alone added $9 trillion to the deficit. Keep on hating.
Bush lied, people died
bite sized slogans for indoctrinated murcans
keep printing dollars Fed.
Debt jubilee and CW2 right around the corner
Judge Tobiasson does have that separate matter to deal with as to the steps she allegedly took on behalf of her daughter.
But this new matter primarily deals with how she, and Judge Chelini, treat staff and other employees. Judges have been disciplined for such behavior(e.g. Halverson, del Vecchio, etc.) but it usually needs to be established as fairly outrageous, continuous, and unacceptable when viewed by any reasonable and objective standard, for it to result in discipline.
As far as the complaint about Tobiasson's attire(an employee complaining that the judge wears low cut blouses, and hooker type pumps), I think the Commission should in no way pursue such issue.
If the Commission pursues the judge for creating a hostile work environment(which has diversity overtones), they'd be shooting themselves in the foot
if they want to include as one of their charges that a female judge dresses in a provocative or sexualized manner.
At any rate,I don't know what the Hell the employee is talking about. Whenever I've seen the judge in the courthouse she is wearing her robe. I have seen her about a dozen times attending events and she was always dressed very professionally.
The Commission would be well served not to pursue that an isolated female employee resents the appearance and clothing of an attractive female judge. It would be foolish beyond measure to do anything except to totally ignore that complaint.
As to all the other assertions, who knows? Perhaps some have some real validity, or it's just a witch hunt. We will see.
The Judicial Discipline Commission should be disbanded if this is the best they can do. What a n absolute joke.
Agreed. An utter crock of shit…
Where would you vest judicial discipline in light of our biennial 120-day legislature?
All this while ignoring legitimate complaints, nothing to see here.
I think it is worth noting that, in the last few years, the Commission has charged female judicial officers with conduct unrelated to the administration of the docket. Maybe it is a coincidence. I find it pretty abysmal that anonymous complaints related to "hooker heels", inappropriate attire and swearing are given credibility even if the part(ies) later come forward or are identified. Judges wear robes for a reason. Also, while it doesn't make you sound particularly intelligent (as my grandma would point out), swearing is pretty prolific these days. A simple, please don't talk to me in that manner' usually works. It reeks of pettiness from complaint to Commission.
Y'all its all just speculation on your part. The Commission has not released any specifics, whatever information is out there is from Defense counsel. If it were only the things you speak of, the Commission could, and probably would have, issued a letter of caution and the matters would remain confidential.
(of course, all bets are off if the Judges received and have ignored prior letters)
I have the investigative reports. What I reported is what's in them. Nothing more.
Dana– What is your relationship to or fascination with Judge Tobiasson? I am all for fair reporting on any issue; however you seem to have a true focus on her.
Is any ethics board investigating our illustrious AG, Aaron Ford, for promoting an Amendment to a bill which would remove the caps for fees paid to outside contracted counsel while he was a partner at Eglet Prince, now Eglet Adams? He was clearly engaging in conduct designed to enrich his employer/partners, who were actively soliciting contracted work with the State and other governmental entities. Didn't Shelley Berkley get into an ethics jam for doing something similar for her doctor husband?
This is some lazy-ass thinking. You want to make a claim, go on and do that, there's a lot to talk about that topic, but try to sharpen your thoughts before you do.
Hit a nerve, huh?
Mentioning obvious conflicts of interest constitutes lazy-ass thinking?
Can we just acknowledge that for all practical purposes, premises liability is strict liability in Nevada and that reasonable under the circumstances is a sham.
One Family Court judge with a 28% retention score, and another who was referred for a psych eval. Continue to be glad that I don't practice over there.
Some people (finally) have the gravitas to criticize the judge – she is retiring. Where have they been for the past 16 years as she plays favorites, refuses to let you make a record and embarasses you publically?
