I was never concerned with law school rankings because I was a non-traditional student who wouldn’t have been able to get into (let alone attend) a T13 school.

“when was the last time you were truly concerned with the ranking of your law school?” The last time I applied for a job with less than 5 years of experience.

My law school is not ranked well and it now costs $62,000 per year to attend, which makes no sense. But I also know it produced some of the best judges and attorneys in town.

My school was about 25th when I went in the 90s. Its now deeper than 100, however the tuition is only $30k which is only double what it was when I went. Of course, my tuition was fully covered because my wife was employed at the University allowing me to load up on credits, graduate early and take the bar early. So there was that.

Thanks to Jim Rogers, tuition at the University of Arizona is only $25,000 a year. Not bad.

A partner in a now defunct firm (Jones, Jones, Bell and Close) once told me that there must be “hundreds of graduates from [my law school] Cal Western out there beating the pavement.” I had a job at the time and had been recruited via a letter to interview with his firm. He added that Jones et al. only hired graduates of ivy league schools, which was a total lie. Turned out he went to #156, Santa Clara. Never forgot the comment and never spoke to the jerk again.

check out Mueller’s appeals for Kevin Child and later Cliven Bundy. He failed to file opening briefs after having been given extensions to file. Appeals dismissed.

Judge Newberry referred him for walking out of a trial when she ordered him to stay.

C-24-379750-1. Appealed, failed to file transcripts, got conditionally sanctioned with a fine, didn’t pay the fine and didn’t file transcripts. So they removed him as counsel, ordered DC to get appellant new counsel, and referred Mueller to state bar for investigation.

Looks like he tried to pay the sanction on April 11. Too late, buddy.

He will blame his staff but this stuff keeps happening with Mueller. Hope they look at appeals for Kevin Child and Cliven Bundy. Judge Crockett once sanctioned Mueller over $90,000 for filing frivolous lawsuit and he was sanctioned $250,000 in attorneys fees for Joey Gilbert.

Mueller relies on one person to monitor his appeals and clearly his system is not working.

Mueller has been scolded by the NSC over the years but he never modified his behavior. Time for something stronger.

I just read the order. He basically forced NSC to make the referral. They have him more chances than he deserved. What was NSC supposed to do here?

In Cliven Bundy appeal he also failed to order transcripts and ultimately failed to file an opening brief after having been given an extension. He simply does not pay attention to his appeals.

Mueller should be prohibited from filing appeals. Period.

His excuse is always he is a criminal defense attorney, not a civil attorney. But he takes civil cases. And he screws up both civil and criminal appeals.
