Kind of painful to watch. Without even getting into the legalities, I have a hard time getting over the clothing worn in court and the concept that 1st year law students have this much time on their hands. Maybe the plot is good? I'm so distracted by the other problems (why does she have all these people in her home office?).
Agreed! I'm having trouble with the plot as well, but the clothing is troubling and likely gives young women attorneys the wrong idea about is acceptable in court. Aside from the all the free time 1L's apparently have, how is it that they have that much influence on a case. I'm still watching and hoping it gets better, but I doubt that will last much longer.

I just got my Preliminary CLE Report, which states that I need one ethics hour in substance abuse. Are there any CLEs coming up that satisfy this requirement?
I have a DVD containing a 1 hour substance abuse presentation that has been approved by the CLE Board. If interested, please e-mail me at nvesq@cox.net and I will gladly provide additional information..
Young Lawyers section is presenting one at JAMS on Nov 18th

Question for you crimial attorneys, the Henderson police officer picked up on DUI and the other charges is still in jail and won't get a bail hearing until Thursday (according to the RJ). Is this normal? Is it the other charges that are keeping him in custody, becasue I was under the impression that as soon as you sober up, you can post bond and be released.
The whole case is a bunch of bull. DA always overcharges. At least he has a great attorney. That's his best move. Bet you all the felony charges go away and he gets no jail time in the end. He may never be a cop again, but he'll get out unscathed.

Or you could sit though an hour of the crap show, "how To Get Away With Murder." That is an hour on full abuse all in itself.

They stacked charges on him. He's being held for much more than the DUI (possession of drugs, possession of a firearm, etc.)

"The whole case is a bunch of bull."
On what do you base this? How can a whole case be a bunch of bull when someone is drunk driving and has drugs in their possession?
and drives the wrong way on 95 with a gun, open bottle of whiskey and approximately 200 prescription meds.
