Have you been following the Taylor Swift/Ticketmaster debacle? Nevada’s AG is investigating Ticketmaster per this tweet.
Anyone stressing out over the potential loss of Twitter from your social media feeds? Have you already made the jump to Mastodon or some other alternative?
I will be sad if Twitter implodes. It is the only social media I use. I follow a mix of local and national reporters, officeholders, and rabblerousers and it is a good source of all the latest news, gossip, and fun nonsense.
I haven't tried any of the alternatives, but I guess I'd better start exploring them.
This seems like a golden opportunity for Facebook, Amazon, or some other techy company with deep pockets to stand up a twitter clone. I wonder if there is a race on already, or if they are like "meh, wouldn't make much money anyway." (I use an ad blocker, which makes Twitter wonderful, btw. So I confess that I'm a freeloader.)
The TOS at TruthSocial is a little like the social credit rules in the Peoples Republic of China. Criticism of the Dear Leader can get you banned. Not a viable alternative to Twitter.
There is actually something here to consider. The sentence is 135 months, which under fed custody guidelines she is still camp eligible. Assuming that she is a criminal history category -0-.
I have seen a number of sentences that are exactly 135 months, because it is the highest sentence that one can receive and still be eligible for a camp and not have to start in a higher security facility.
Disagree. This was a tried case. There will be issues. Most judges (and sometimes Circuits) will release pending appeal. She currently has until 4/27 to surrender.
She will surrender on her surrender date and will stay in pending appeal. Her surrender date might move around but she will be allowed to remain free until then (and lets be honest 6 months to surrender is gigantic).
Twitter is 100x more fun these days than it was a year ago.

Truth Social is the only good Twitter alternative.
It is OK. Works very similar. Content isnt yet there.

@426 Clearly you are neither on Truth Social nor have you read their TOS. There is tons of criticism of Trump and other Righties.
You are FOS. Sorry but gotta call out the fakeness.
Elizabeth Holmes sentenced to 11.25 years following "Theranos" federal fraud trial in Silicon Valley.
Asking any federal criminal practitioners: What are the chances the trial judge stays imposition of the sentence pending appeal?
Blutarsky's GPA
5:38 ok that was funny.

But will the trial judge allow her to remain out of custody pending her inevitable appeal?
Probably not. But, she will likely be required to self surrender a couple of months after she gives birth.

Huge. Seems like 90 days is the standard in the the D.NV.

Another example for one to take heed of the saying, "Never argue with one who purchases ink by the barrel."
