- Fashions change over time and for different reasons. The pandemic and working from home clearly had an impact on how lawyers are dressing (especially for Zoom hearings). The seasons changing and climbing temperatures also bring about change. So, what’s the style this summer? Anyone seeing any trends that the rest of should be aware of?
blog is dead
I like to call them my courthouse crocs.
THHWWWAAACCKK!
This was not me.
@realThhwwwaaacckkGuy
I only support the real THwacker!!
Seriously? @12:53 trying to take credit for being the real Thhwwwacckk? I'm the real one.

Double kickstands to your face!
Time to start a new law blog where big brother doesn't go around removing posts.
Please do so. We need a new blog and I'd be more than happy to go to that one so people can post without fear of being censored constantly.
I am on board with another blog if someone wants to do it. But, I am here for better or for worse.
#freelawdawg
Please go. Please.
@2:21p – Start a 'Las Vegas Law Blog' reddit and go there.
All these whiners who complain constantly, but won’t actually do anything.
Reddit suck. Wont go there, the moderators are terrible.
this has been discussed and tried, no one showed up. i'm sure the blogmasters, I mean primary bloggers would be happy to let us have more speech if we put our name on our comments. I, for one, appreciate the anonymity when it's not like the RJ comments use to be—looking at you hawkeye.
These rules seem reasonable: https://corp.rumble.com/blog/rumble-proposes-an-open-source-content-moderation-policy-process-to-improve-transparency-put-creators-first/
You should implement those rules on your blog.
You mean lazy whiners.
Um, yes, I'd like to order one anonymous free speech burger, with a side of liability-free libel, and a large diet echo chamber. Oh, and uh, I don't want to pay for it. thanks!
Niiiiice~~!
THIS blog is an echo chamber because the mods delete anything that goes against their ideology no matter what the topic.
3:16 I feel so bad for you. It must be difficult to whine all the time about something you put no effort into, are not forced to read or participate, yet you still find time to complain. Poooooooor little baby.
@lawdawg. Sorry for the complainers of which I have occasionally been one. I appreciate your efforts and support your work. Don't leave us. We really do like it here. Its not perfect. But, then what is.
I was thinking about lawyer summer fashion. Our firm has jean Fridays. If I have a hearing, I grab a jacket and it is truly BlueJeans. My observation is that the attorneys as BIG firms male and female maintain the blue, black, and grey suit year-round. Solos and small firms seems to be business casual. I see lots of golf shirts and jeans on men and relaxed trousers, skirts, sundresses, and blouses on women. Some of the female lawyers wear elegant resort wear. This past week on BlueJeans, one of the female attorneys in our community looked like she was in her pajamas on BlueJeans this past week; the same women will also dress like she is going clubbing.
I wish there was a way to limit the blog to Nevada attorneys and their staffs, for the purpose of discussing Nevada legal issues, but I don't know how that could be done without sacrificing confidentiality. I appreciate lawdawg's efforts and miss the old days when we could discuss issues relevant to the legal community without the constant political posts that are tangential to the primary focus of the blog.
@ 4:11 p.m.: I don't care if they limit it to NV attys and staff — I have nothing against CA attys (I am dual jurisdiction). But I'd love MORE deletions of absurd political posts and just plain gibberish.
For example, the inane "Thwaack" crap. I just don't get it! Maybe something taught at Boyd?? Sorry, I could not resist.
THHWAAAAACK guy exists to irritate inane people like you with their panties perpetually twisted.
THHWWWAAACCKK guy here. I am just pointing out when comments are getting deleted. Nothing more sinister than that and I assure you that I am much longer in the tooth than any Boyd Grad.
Rob Telles goes down in flames. His wife filing for divorce will be the second shoe to drop.

PAs, like PGs, should not be elected. BDR time.
Think this is the story you meant to link. Telles goes down. https://www.reviewjournal.com/investigations/embattled-county-official-losing-re-election-bid-posts-angry-letter-2594362/
Appointing public administrators might be difficult, as the Nevada Constitution seems to require that office to be elective. But the county commission can abolish or consolidate that office. https://www.leg.state.nv.us/const/nvconst.html#Art4Sec32
