As a Republican, can I just express my opinion that neither one of the GOP candidates for Public Administrator has any business anywhere near that office, and that there is zero reason for it to be a partisan office anyway?
Pretty funny that people who run for PA don't really understand what the office does. The PA should be someone with experience in probate or as a fiduciary. The GOP candidates are a joke.
I'm going to miss John as PA. Really a stand up guy.
Kym Cushing is now at Richard Harris' office?
Bet Kym now regrets all the nasty things he said about Harris over the years.
Who is she? Is she some young up-and-coming celebrity attorney?
Is it my bad that I never heard of her? Am I that far out of the loop?
Dude, do your homework. Kym Cushing, is male and has been a lawyer for many years.
Smalls: I was gonna put the ball back!
Squints: But it was signed by Babe Ruth!
Can't blame anyone for mistaking Kym as being a female name.
Also, if 11:51 blames 11:23 for not knowing of this supposedly prominent veteran attorney, why is there no Kym Cushing listed in the legal directory?
Wasn't Cushing against Harris in some of those Costco matters . . . interesting
Conflict?
Wishing Kym good luck in HIS new position.
For anyone interested or keeping score, the Rena Hughes decision has been released by the Commission on Judicial Discipline.

You know, I saw the clip when it was circulating but this comes across as even worse, especially when they say she didn't have knowledge of contempt procedures and signed something without reading it.
Wow. Funny this comes out at same time that taking away kids at the border is in the news.
The Commission can, and did, rule that contempt rules were not followed, etc.
But to reprimand a judge for signing an order without completely reading it, shows a basic misunderstanding of how the process works–which is disturbing since at least two judges served on the panel(although neither was from ultra-busy Clark County).
Clark County judges each sign hundreds of orders every week. After the orders are submitted, often signed by both attorneys or both parties, the Court Clerk and/or Judicial Law Clerk compare it to the court minutes, and often with the video record if there is anything requiring clarification.
Once attorneys have prepared and signed off on an order and submitted it, and the court staff then determines its accuracy based on the court record, and then submits it for judicial signature and finalization, why we would expect the judges to spend hours a day reading all these orders?
We apparently are having enough problems getting some judges to work something resembling a full day, so they can be available to address case load, emergencies, etc. Why do we now want them to devote half their time to something almost pointless when that time could and should be used addressing active contested matters?
The lawyers are saying "we both signed this order and want it signed" and the reviewing clerks are saying "both attorneys want this order signed and I've determined it's entirely consistent with the rulings issued in court, so please sign it."
Yet we are now to believe that before signing such orders the judge should read them to determine accuracy?–which would in turn mandate the judge also reading all the court minutes and viewing all the court video.
Re: Hughes, just yesterday we were discussing the problems down there at FC, this many problems constitutes far more than the "tip of the iceberg"
Off-topic query —
Is anyone else having troubles with the court filing system lately? Seems like it crashes on a regular basis with our office over the last week, and today, as we speak.
Who is Mark DiCiero?
Who is Doug Ansell?
He is one of those who comments frequently on social media concerning issues, occurrences and people in the Family Court process.
3:05 here. My response concerns Mark DiCiero. As to Doug Ansell, I do not know if he is someone who blogs about Family Court matters.
He is and is involved in many of the ongoing issues.
