Question for all, is there any effective way to correct a misstatement made during oral argument before the Supreme Court? I have looked through the appellate practice guides and other resources and haven't found anything. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

NRAP 31(e) is the closest to what you need but I would just file a Notice of Error in Oral Argument or something like that.

The legislature controls K-12, DETR, and the DMV. Stay out of higher education. Vote no on 1!!!

But the State of Nevada performs all of its functions so efficiently and economically. It is so good at all the tasks it undertakes. So responsive. So accountable. So transparent. So honest and forthright. Let's keep adding to the State of Nevada's tasks and functions; because we all know how good a job the State is doing for us.

Well, no, the Governor controls those agencies, not the Legislature under separation of powers.  And I read the article it says that the Board of Regents still controls higher ed, but makes them subject to the law like everyone else is.

If Sisolak would run NSHE, even more reason to vote no on 1.

The indy article also fails to mention that regent levine's live-in boyfriend is in charge of the the yes side. Report the facts solis. No on one.

If you actually go and read who actually voted for this bill, then you will see both Republicans and Democrats voted yes for it (minus roughly 4 republicans in the assembly). So its a bipartisan issue that both sides said yes to in the 2017 and 2019 sessions. If both sides can actually agree on something, then there has to be some merit to it. Vote yes on Q1.

When is the extra $300 per week coming? And why did Sisolak wait so long to request it?

I don't know enough about the Board of Regents specifically to know how I'm going to vote on BQ1. But my instinct is removing their independent status is a good thing.

Centralization is good because it makes it easier for voters to give credit or blame. If you don't like how UNLV is run, is it because the Legislature is messing up or the BOR is messing up (or both)? Who knows – and that makes it harder to vote out the people messing up.

Also, I think having this kind of bureaucratic structure in the state constitution is generally bad. Even if you like having the BOR now, maybe in 10 years you won't, and having it cemented in by the constitution will make it hard to change. IMO it's usually better to have more flexibility so the Legislature (responding to voters) can make necessary changes. If things are working fine, then hopefully the Legislature (responding to voters) will leave it alone.

What about a solo who gets a huge payroll loan and then fires 5 people? Should he be reported?

The FBI is investigating those who abused the payroll loan system. If you feel that strongly about it, why don't you report it? There were some time limits on having to pay employees though, if it is longer than the initial requirement then they may have not violated any conditions. Did you hear about the guy in Florida who bought a new fancy sports car with the money and exaggerated number of employees? Prosecuted. Same with a lady in LV who bought a Mercedes SUV. Boo-hoo, had to go back and now in hot water.

Has everyone heard about Brian Padgett getting arrested for $400,000 in bad checks? He got a pass on the dead woman in the bed.

To judicial candidates, endorsements don't mean shit anymore. No one cares that the Republican Club endorsed you. The majority of their endorsements are Democrats,Bonnie Bulla and Jim Davis.

Jim Davis? Well, admittedly, Garfield is pretty great.
