The Security Door case was filed as a "Pro Se" Class Action. The Plaintiff is not a stranger to filing pro se litigation.

An appeal filed with the Nevada Supreme Court? That should be decided sometime around 2021.

Read the pleadings in this appeal. Insanity. Off the wall bananas stuff. Makes Hafter's hashtags look tame in comparison. This will be one of the most entertaining appeals to watch. Geraldine is one of the dirtiest attorneys I have ever met.

Speaking of Hafter, I saw him at the RJC this morning. Blue and white striped seer sucker suit and Jeff Lebowski hair. WTF.

And she is careless – didn't bother redacting her SS#, birthdate or account numbers from the subpoenas she attached.

Geraldine and Judy have taken turns getting suspended and yet the Supreme Court always lets them back. Maybe defrauding a client into a sham marriage is a final straw?

Verdicts are in. Government overplayed their hand and apparently were perceived at the bullies that the Defense portrayed the Government to be. Suck on that crow USAO.

Didn't get a Guilty Verdict on a single count against a single Defendant. Try them a third time? Myrhe is like a Magic 8 Ball. He will just keep shaking Defendants until he gets the answers that he wants.

Man I have mixed feelings about this. The Feds in NV think this is still the wild west where what they say goes. From the fucking parole officers right through the federal judges it's a bug clusterfuck of lies and corruption.

Conversely Bundy and his entire crew were welfare queens.

Could not agree more with you 4:17. Bundy and his ilk need to go away and need to play by the same rules that we all play by. With that said, I hate to admit that I am glad that the Feds keep getting it handed to them. Think about this…. Defendants were not allowed to put on a case after weeks of the Government getting to say whatever they wanted. The Feds and the Court gagged Defendants from being able to put on a case and then act surprised when the jury saw bullies acting like bullies. Regardless of whether she wanted a clean record or just wanted to make sure that the result was a certainty so she would not have to try this case again, Judge Navarro needs to take a good hard look at a trial where the jurors saw the Court as part of the deck being stacked against defendants.

"Acting U.S. Attorney Steven Myhre said prosecutors have not decided when they will retry Drexler and Parker on the remaining counts." The definition of stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Steve, admit it. You are not the good guy. You are the bull in the proverbial China Shop. Maybe take a step back (or step down) and let someone whose judgment is not clouded by pride and hubris take the reins.

As someone with no dog in this fight, this is some genuine Grade AAA US Attorney bullshit, because they will ask Navarro to place the retrial in front of the Bundys' (again!) sticking them in jail for several more months while they try to find a jury that will convict two minor players.

The Bunkerville situation reminds me of another reason Sen.Heller may run into trouble with re-election. Although it's well noted how he flip-flops on Obama Care and alienates most of his base, he has also shown some incredibly poor judgment when he should have kept his mouth shut, or at least softened his remarks considerably.

After the armed stand off in Bunkerville, rather than simply offering some measured remarks about it being a multi-faceted issue while still emphasizing his belief in some of the the state's rights issues of the stand off, he actually heaped high praise on Bundy and the conduct of the protestors which had already grown dangerously out-of-hand. He praised Bundy as being a real patriot and hero, or something of that ilk.

It seemed real foolish at the time–but not nearly as foolish as it seemed a few days later when Bundy was insisting that African Americans were better off under slavery. It made Heller, at the time look like a thoughtless, knee-jerk, impulsive fool who acts extremely prematurely in an effort to pander to the more right-wing portion of his base. Anyone knew that the situation and the people involved was so unpredictable, combustiable and highly erratic that anything could change day to day, and even hour to hour. Bundy's remarks, which essentially condoned slavery, although repulsive and highly disturbing, were hardly shocking considering the source.

Only a fool would make a very public hero of Bundy, and then subsequently act shocked by Bundy's remarks. If the Senator could not see something like this coming, does he not have any advisors who would caution him to hold back on any public remarks, and then if he feels he must speak, then issue remarks indicating some proportion, maturity and restraint?

One cannot heap extravagant public praise on a vile racist, and then a couple days later convincingly claim that he never knew the guy was a racist.

BTW I do not in fact believe the Senator is a fool, and he does in fact have a lot of positive traits. But, IMO, he was a real fool on this particular occasion-which leaves me with the option of supporting The Tark in the Primary, which is a whole other issue.

Perhaps, but I agree with a lot of what 4:27 says.

Heller tried to distance himself from Bundy after the slavery remarks, by claiming he never called Bundy a patriot. But he essentially did, and he was splitting hairs when he sys he did not. He was on a program with Reid, who also engaged in hyperbole when he referred to all the protestors as domestic terrorists. But this over-heated remark which unfairly sweeps all those people into condemnation, was made by Reid in his last term, so there would really be no accountability from any voters.
But Heller, still in the early stages of his senatorial career, obviously planned to run again, as he presently is. So, rather than declining to go tit-for-tat with Reid and exercising some restraint and proportion, he, instead, matched, and perhaps exceeded the unfair, over-dramatic, one size fits all, statement of Reid. He said that what Reid considers domestic terrorists, Heller considers patriots.

To then say a few days later, after Bundy's slavery opinions were publicized, that Heller was calling Bundy's militia supporters patriots, but was not actually calling Bundy a patriot, is absurd. Anyone would take his remarks to mean that Bundy and all his militia supporters were patriots, and his political double speak a few days later did him no good.

I have news for Reid and Heller. Not every Bundy supporter is a domestic terrorist, nor are they, on the other hand, all noble patriots. These two senators showed no acknowledgment of shades of gray and the complexities of human beings and their actions. Instead, they both sought to label people as either entirely good, or entirely bad. But I guess it's foolish to expect any nuance from politicians.

I believe Martin Luther King, Jr., showed the world the proper way in which to protest and make a change in the world. What we have today with the Bundy supporters, alt-right groups, antifa, and others is a disaster. It seems violence and the threat of violence is their way to accomplish their respective goals, to the detriment of us all. And the clown in the WH does not help either every time he opens his mouth.

I think two "wins" for the Bunkerville/Bundy folks demonstrates that Heller should be safe in his re-election bid. As much as this state looks like its turning Blue, two separate juries wouldn't convict even when they were basically guided to convict. That says a lot about the voters minds in Southern Nevada.

And, who even remembered the non-link between Heller and Bundy's racism until 4:27pm reminded us?

Tarkanian is running on his dad's (or his wife's) last name. He's not a great candidate, and will get killed in a state-wide race. Heller has his issues (plenty), but Tarkanian is brutal. You have to wonder about people that run for office over and over and over again without success. Pride? Looking for a comfy government gig? As a disaffected republican, once the decision was made to primary Heller, I'm shocked they couldn't find anybody better than Tark.

Tark probably decided on his own to run. I doubt he was selected by the Republican power brokers, who still have time to find a viable republican of their choosing. But the problem is that Tark, although controversial and never elected, still has enough name recognition and support to pull a lot of votes in the primary. And, that's what makes this dynamic somewhat dicey. Tark will split the anti-Heller votes in the primary with the Republican Power Brokers' hand-picked candidate, enabling Heller to win the Primary.

But, even more fundamentally, Heller may not be so wounded that the Republican power brokers abandon him to find a new candidate. They may be willing to support him.
