Does SBN ever lobby the Legislature? I honestly have no idea. Does anyone else know?
A couple of different sections have lobbyists there. Probate/trust, family sections come to mind
This is a scam school and I hope it closes.

This could have been us. Western States (now Thomas Jefferson) was all set up to open a for=profit law school here (with an indefinite waiver from the NSC of ABA accreditation) when UNLV stepped in.
Has anyone worked for Lewis brisbois or known anyone who has? Any insight you can provide me about working conditions is appreciated. I've worked insurance defense my whole career so I am very familiar with the hours etc. Thanks.
This doesn't really answer your question, but they seem to have a TON of partners over there. Maybe more than associates. Something tells me that making partner is not really a huge step up from associate there.
They seem to hire a lot. I am familiar with John Lavery who has worked there for a long time. He seems to like it.
Don't do it…there are better firms.
Why not? Please elaborate thanks.
There are better firms. And there are worse firms. I am in no position to tell you to do it or not because who knows compared to where you are now and what other opportunities you have whether it would be a step up or a step back.
I have a friend who went there not that long ago. Not a rainmaker. Clients are better off probably never having to talk to this attorney so that this attorney does not annoy the crap out of them. However feed this attorney work and this attorney is like a skee ball machine at Chuck E. Cheese: just spits out the product. If you are not trying to change the world or be noteworthy, LB is not a bad place to be.
