She must've found the 9th Circuit courthouse pretty easily since she beat Sisolak there on behalf of places of worship with her 4th Tier "shithole" law degree. Kinda crushed that Harvard grad from AG's office. Haters gonna hate
@9:56am- What happened to her other COVID cases? Well she got the USDC reversed in the 9th Circuit in Calvary Chapel Lone Mountain v Sisolak. Why don't you put your money where your mouth is? What have you done lately other than turn green over another lawyers success?
@10:56 a.m. I've practiced with Sigal Chattah since before she sat for the bar. You're obviously lying because she doesn't use contract attorneys. Her reputation is impeccable with Judges and your couple of cases 5 years ago? Sigal is one of the most aggressive attorneys I have ever worked with in town. and 11:26 am, Sigal has litigated cases and represented some of the most infamous businessmen and Judges in town- not only do newspapers find her, they love covering her. You however, are nameless and anonymous losers.
I wish my children would sue for me to get the vaccine, genius move @4:00p.m. you are so stupid and obviously very jealous of her.

I suspect Adelson's lengthy illness is the only reason he was not taken down like Wynn, and he was smart enough to stay married to his larger than life wife.
I am no fan of Adelson, but it is unfair to assume that because he was rich and powerful that he exploited women like Wynn (allegedly) did.
I would like to think I would have used billions of dollars differently than Sheldon did, but of course, that's easy for me to say as a non-billionaire. I would probably surprise myself, and not in a good way, if I had that kind of power.
Right, Sisolak is to blame for Covid-19. How dare he try to save our lives. Perhaps 10:35 would like to volunteer to help drive all of the corpses lying in refrigerator trucks in hospital parking lots to the mass graves they will be buried in. We could use your help flinging the carcasses into the open pits. A**hole!
Agreed w 10:51. WTF is Sisolak supposed to do? We have no coherent national/federal response. We've got an entire political party demonizing masks and social distancing. It's insanity. He's done about as good as anyone could under these circumstances. I do think the vaccine rollout is turning into a bit of a shit show, but I know doctors who are getting vaccinated so at least they've started. Hopefully Sisolak's new plan works and we start getting vaccinated.
Sisolak is in the middle of a crisis of Herculean proportions. However the statement that "He's done about as good as anyone could under these circumstances" is far from true. He and his team have fumbled the strategy in unbelievable ways. There is no coherent vaccine rollout or health strategy. To say we are struggling in the rurals might be understandable; to say we cannot get a consistent logistical rollout in the only 2 counties of any real size is abysmal. I gave him and his team the benefit of many doubts throughout this process but he has burned through the last of the excuses and doubts with me.
@11:33 – 11:16 here. I see where you're coming from, but my understanding is that the state is literally running out of money so he doesn't have many options but to try to cobble together some approach that keeps the casinos at least partially open. I could be wrong. I agree on the vaccines. This was foreseeable and I do think he could do a better job. Fingers crossed his new plan gets more vaccines out there.
Why don't we simplify all of this. None of these arguments, on either side, are based on any real objective, data-based analysis.
So, let's have the intellectual honesty to admit that these opinions, and emotions, are purely politically motivated, but dressed up to look like valid scientific/medical opinions.
Suffice it say , that loyal republicans think Sisolak has handled the crisis abominably, while loyal democrats will be quite positive of how he has handled it.
But let's try to be as objective as possible and put politics aside. I'll give it a shot. I'm a loyal democrat who voted for him but am not too impressed with his performance, but I agree with those posters who point out that Sisolak, as well as all the other governors, are pretty much in a no-win situation.
And let's not forget that there are two very valid but polar opposite policy considerations here. Protecting the health of Nevadans vs. Protecting Nevada's economy. That's not an easy tightrope to traverse.
In my own conversations with people, I think a lot of people would have voluntarily taken themselves out of circulation and the economy would have taken a hit regardless of state directives, albeit not to the extent it has. Let's be real. Vegas and the state are overly reliant on tourism, and to a large extent international tourism. That's just not happening regardless of what the Gov does.
But with the amount of money at stake and the players involved, Vegas could have been at the forefront of opening safely with rapid testing and other precautions that would have enabled us to get back faster. Instead, we just opened the doors and lowered the rates. And look where we are now. I'm not saying Sisolak had an easy path, but he seems to have blundered a few opportunities to put us in a better position (like now with the vaccines).
"health of Nevadan's v. Protecting Nevada's economy" – huh? These are intertwined and Sisolak has done a horrid job protecting both. The state is in charge of its medical facilities- not the feds. The state is in charge of education – not the feds. The state is in charge of the state budget – not the feds. Sisolak should have never closed any business down. People have a choice – stay home. Children have committed suicide – the mental health and economic crisis he has torpedoed us into will far outlast COVID19 – COVID20…all of it. He needed to lead and he did not. He followed. The governor of the state of Nevada – the state with the tourism capital of the nation – has to be innovative, wise and lead – not do what California does. He has shown an utter lack of leadership on all fronts – and I voted for him. I won't do it again.
2021: Once Biden gets inaugurated and Trump is on to other pursuits, whether impeached or not for being Trump, the covid panic will subside. Flu will make a come back as the covid vaccine gets the credit for lower covid numbers. Death numbers will remain controversial assuming alternative views won't be completely outlawed and democratic governors will feel free to lift restrictions while self congratulating.
This whole mess really needs to be investigated and explained. The economy is in ruins. Too many doctors have contrary views to what the big pharma msm is pushing. With the history of overhyped pandemics in the past like the H1N1 scare that fizzled and the inconsistent statements Faucci has made regarding masks and whether asymptomatic persons can infect others, we really need a massive review of what happened and is continuing to happen.

Breaking news: if you live in the crappy part of Spring Valley, and are a Democrat, and for some strange reason want to earn $320/legislative day, start hitting up the county commission. Alexander Assefa just resigned because, it turns out, he doesn't live in the crappy part of Spring Valley.
This is not the only reason he resigned. He is being investigated for improper use of campaign funds. His resignation was submitted by his lawyers.
Similar to Kelvin Atkinson's resignation in 2019. (Is he out of prison?)
You omitted that you were screwing a blow-up doll. Look at the photo of Atkinson's house party. Play some Russian roulette while you're at it and have someone else count the spins so they can let the rest of us know how long your game lasted.
The documented phenomena of old-school ladies of the night having significantly more robust immune systems ties nicely into the argument of how is it this not-very-deadly-at-all Batflu somehow justified ignoring immune systems, ignoring a hundred years of quarantine history, and turned everything its head by demanding the healthy stay home and stagnate, starved of social interaction, vitamin D, and income. Any other year, the pathogen, such as it is, would have generated some news, some nursing home policy changes, and that's it.
The courts will not be remembered fondly. They let fear, not logic and the constitution guide their decision making. This may have been excusable in April when absolutely false and completely disproven numbers were hammered every minute of the day. Not anymore. If your grocery clerk is still alive, and if he reports his colleagues are still alive, then you have nothing to hide behind: you know this lockdown is illegal, corrupt "experts" bogus numbers of incredible infection rates be damned.
We forget that as lawyers we can work from home. I admit I did really well in 2020. There is a lot of suffering right outside our cushy homes, just beyond the guarded gates. The lockdown was a crime against humanity. (And for fun, what happened to the flu? Did Covid eat it?)

There has to be a new Administrative Order coming down soon re: continuing jury trial again in light of the extension of the pause, shouldn't there? Anyone know anything in this regard?
I can see what you're saying with the supremes and DC at the RJC. What about the rurals and justice/muni courts? Those places are zoos. They make sense.
Assisting on a Dorsey case now, she does what she wants despite the record and law. Speaks for itself.

This blog belongs to someone. They can do as they please and if I don't like it, I don't have to come here. It's their circus and their clowns. I get it. Nonetheless, it still amazes me how we can name call all we want about Chattah, Sheldon, Sisolak, etc. but mention a few teacher's pets and bam, the posts disappear fast. Anyone see a common thread about who we can criticize and support herein?
Wow, Jackie Rosen, I am glad that you ate available to send condolences to the Adelson family about Sheldon's death, but you are silent about impeaching Trump.
What ever happened to Sigal Chattah's other COVID case?

RIP
Tough to be "taken down" when you own the state's largest newspaper.

What is her involvement in construction defect story with Mike Cherry?
Who. Signal Chattah? O do know she is on a select panel of judicial contributors in a lot of election cycles.
Sisolak has destroyed Vegas – this entire state. It's so depressing.

Kelvin got out on a Covid related release several months ago.
And has been throwing big house parties with no masks. I saw a photo in Ralston's Twitter feed. Give Atkinson the vaccine and put him back in prison.
I didn't use a condom in college and turned out fine. A man can have a house party without a mask. Grow up.

Anyone else hear that judges and court staff are getting a pretty high spot on these "lanes" even though they are 20' from any litigants.
This is what I have been anticipating for the last week or so, but haven't seen anything yet.
yes Hardesty is pushing the state to put the judges in what was Tier 2 category.
Any judge who tries to jump the line the vaccine line is an ahole. More of that inflated self-importance from the RJC idiots.

What's up with federal court? Jennifer Dorsey just ruled that she has jurisdiction over our client's case when it does not.
Cool story bro.
Welcome to federal court. It is a banana republic there.
442, Jennifer Dorsey did the dame thing to a former client of ours. Good luck, you will need it!

Did you just say herein in a law blog?
To answer your question, I do not know who these aforementioned teacher's pets you heretofore mentioned hence are.
I look forward to proceeding amicably.
