What is the future of recreational marijuana in Nevada? [TNI]

Not Nevada, but after a lawyer gave a one-hour closing argument in a jury trial, the Judge asked him to do a breathalyzer test. He blew a .337. And, yes, he lost. This happened in December and the Kentucky Supreme Court issued an order temporarily suspending him last week.
The Golden Knights have clinched a berth in the Stanley Cup Playoffs in their inaugural season. [ESPN]
As to the attorney with the .337 breathalyzer test: It took the judge the entire hour of the attorney's closing argument to realize the attorney might be that impaired?
I'd like to say "only in Dixie" but I wouldn't be too surprised if a similar fact pattern occurred in the Vegas courts. It all has a Vegas-like feel to it.
Why? It couldn't happen in Vegas? I remember the(apparently) impaired attorney who appeared in District Court, claiming he was delayed by a car accident, etc. He went on and on for long time in this apparently impaired condition
For the NBA and NHL, why even have a regular season? Really. They play 82 games to eliminate less than half the teams. Seems kind of futile and, frankly, silly. Just make the whole season the playoffs instead.

I think it is great that the Golden Knights are going to the playoffs. They were 500-1 odds to win the Stanley Cup. Now they are 7-1. They are only 5 points from having the best record in the league. They didn't just make the playoffs, they kicked butt!
VGK season ticket holder here. I love the team and the run they are on. But playofff hockey in the nhl is a very different game. Things get faster and the hits are bigger. The Knights are speedy but small, watch for the "big" teams start to lean on them and wear them down. Its a long season….

I heard an attorney, born in the 1920's, say that he never gave a closing argument when he was sober.
Does anybody follow case 72931 SFR INVESTMENTS POOL 1, LLC VS. BANK OF NEW YORK MELLON? I just read Nevada Legislature's Amicus Curiae Brief and it sounds like HOA must afford Due Process to banks. Any thoughts? I wonder why Nevada Legislature didn't get involved with that argument in 2014…

And the postconviction petition will be denied…..(sigh)
The order says the test was done after the verdict. Possible he had a few drinks waiting for the verdict?
There are 31 teams in the NHL. 16 of them make the playoffs. Discuss.
Lower percentage than the NBA (16/30)…

Trying to pull up that brief, but it the website says it is "unavailable" when I try to download it. :
That's from last summer; case now submitted for decision without argument.
SFR Investments? Never heard of that case! Doubt anyone else has either!
There are total of 117 cases that SFR investment pool is involved. Finally easy money will not be available for these "investors"…
