Nothing about Lorretta Bowman? Yes I am old enough to remember what the clerk's office looked like in her era. No computers (she did not trust them) "master calendar" was literally a person writing on a calendar. actual physical files could be "checked out" like library books and it was 50-50 if a motion actually made it to the file for a hearing, This is why we had the concept "courtesy copies" the clerks office could not be trusted to file anything within 3 week of the file stamp date.

Why are Judge Ramsey's employees complaining about having to run her personal errands? It could have been worse, at least she didn't force them to rub her feet.

And her feet probably don't weigh 100 pounds each, so the anonymous complainer should not complain.

Nice to see Ramsey is responding to the posts. She is a woman of the people

It makes me laugh that the Caesars bankruptcy is going to be such a crazy billing fest that they have to set up a legal fee review committee just to oversee what I imagine will be tens of millions of dollars in fees.

Maybe Gordon and Silver would still be in business had they gotten that business.

10:55: Wait, the new office is already up and running? Could it be that GTG was planning and preparing for its move for a long time? Is that like a ship's captain neglecting his duties while he focuses on building a life boat for himself and some buddies? If that is the case, I wonder how this all plays out in future litigation?

There was no chance, none, that a local BK shop was going to get that work – it was always destined for an elite national practice like K&E

Sure, let's plan on having a different time than California for six months of the year. Those CA tourists/visitors provide 60% to 80% of our tourism income. That's going to end well.

The Nevada Legislature seems to have contracted a bad case of Cranial Rectitus!

Did you miss the reason for why this is good? When we're not on the same time as CA we'll be an hour ahead so Californians can come here on the weekend and stay an hour longer due to the time change.

This seems to me to be an incredibly stupid concern. Do you honestly know of anybody who has ever decided not to go somewhere because there is a one hour time change? How would such a deliberation even go? "Well, I was thinking about visiting Las Vegas this weekend, but Nevada will be one hour ahead and that is just too mind-bending for me. I am just going to stay in my safe Pacific Standard Time cocoon."

That's the only reason I never travel to Arizona, except for the 6 months of the year that they're on the same time as us.

Have you ever looked at the map of the U.S.? Clark county (Las Vegas) is significantly east of Carson City. It is only because the time zone was set based upon the location of Carson City that we are in the Pacific Time Zone. Based on Las Vegas's location, we should be in the Mountain Time Zone. [We are located either at the very end of Mountain or the beginning of Pacific, so either way the sun rises/sets either early or late for that zone (depending whether uses Pacific or Mountain Time)].

So the Legislature either has to inconvenience the North or South based on which time Zone it selects or get creative [ split the state into 2 zones like TN, or follow AZ lead and not change between PST/PDT, or maybe split the difference to 30 minutes and call it Vegas time?? or some other creative solution]

How is either end of the state inconvenienced? By the way, the difference in sunrise between Carson City and Las Vegas is 11 minutes. I think we will survive.

If we stop the time change nonsense I know parents of little kids all across Nevada will sing the legislature's praises. Messes my kids up every damn time.

On Karen Ramsey, seems like a concerted effort to get rid of her. They just don't let up. All this stuff is so petty.

You must appear in front of her often and know her so well that you call her Karen instead of Catherine.

Sorry, to err is human. My bad. Catherine not Karen. But seriously on Judge Ramsey, isn't this getting a little old. I remember when Catherine Ramsey was a Deputy DA. No I have not appeared in front of her but in front of the Judge Sean Hoeffgen. If I am not mistaken, aren't they going after him too. Don't live in Northtown and hardly make it up there.

Then leave it to those of us who appear in front of her. She is worse than the media reports give her credit for.
