I've been been up against a decent attorney from that firm.

The AG race is worse than the Leavitt and Graham race. I don't want to vote for any of these people.

Scathing 8 News Now report on CPS. Watch it. Scary. Run by Jeff Wells. He should be fired.

July 24, 2018 at 12:27 PM – You are mistaken sir. Jeff Wells is in charge of the Department of Juvenile Justice Services. I believe you are referring to the Department of Family Services which is not in his portfolio.

@ 3:05;

You are incorrect about which Assistant County Manager the Department of Family Services is managed by. That department is in the portfolio of Assistant County Manager Kevin Schiller.

http://www.clarkcountynv.gov/countymanager/Documents/Org%20Charts/Clark%20County%20Organization%20Chart%20as%20of%2007%202017%20Revised.pdf

Assistant County Manager Jeff Wells has a large portfolio of departments he supervises which primarily deals with the courts and the criminal justice system (Metro, CCDC, DJJS, Public Defenders, D.A., Constables, etc.) I know him and he is a very bright and caring person, but takes his job seriously and is no pushover. He is to implement the policies and decisions of the Board of County Commissioners and the County Manager, which he does zealously.

Lets not forget that the County is not alone in oversight of CPS. There are 3 District Judges (and additional Hearing Masters) dedicated to DFS cases and directly involved in the system. They are responsible for oversight of the protection of abused and neglected children.

Is the County's own website incorrect? He is CPS' spokes person, so I think 3:05 is the correct one. Also, RJC sucks and so does CCDC, so no bragging rights there.

I thought the RJC and CCDC are the same thing. At least with inmates, what you get is what you see.

Geeze Jeff, I mean 8:51, lighten up. Jeff used to be over DFS, but now poor Kevin Schiller has that joy.

The AG race is very tricky. I agree with most of Ford's views, but I do not like the fact that he is controlled by Eglet. But, Wes Duncan seems to be towing Laxalt's line. I do not like puppets. I wish we had another choice.

A vote for Eglet is a vote for Ford and Cadish. Look at the amount of campaign contributions.

How was Ford able to buy an expensive house when he had tax liens? Eglet?

I sincerely doubt that Wes Duncan would be a puppet of Laxalt. If you knew him you would not say that. Duncan is his own man. He is more politically like Laxalt but that job is a lot like the District Attorney where politics is not a significant factor in running the office.

Remember, Eglet is nice to you only if you can do something for him. So Ford has a debt to pay.

George v. Hawaii is really teeing up the 2A for SCOTUS.
