Friday Open Thread

Happy Friday, everyone!

Other than the LDS judiciary ratio in Nevada, what’s on your mind?

Here are a few starter topics:

Does anyone else (other than a tipster) think there may be an unusually high associate attrition rate at Gordon & Silver?

Does anyone know what’s going on with Judge Earl?  I hear he is quite ill these days (and if that is true, I wish him a speedy recovery).

Does anyone have any thoughts about the latest Desai/Hep-C trial that just got underway?

I heard Judge Earl was sick as well.

And I bet whoever drives that BMW is a huge douche.

Does this mean there are jobs available at Gordon Silver?

Yes.

The latest story in the paper says that the defense was able, this time, to argue that perhaps the doctor and his staff may have played a roll in the outbreak (gee, ya think?). If memory serves, the defense was not allowed, last time, to point the finger at the doctor. If the jury is able, this time, to consider the doctor's fault, Eglet will have a tougher time making a case against the pharmaceutical manufacturer.

Didn't Jesse Walsh rule in the first trial that the pharmaceutical manufacturer would not be allowed to discuss the doctor's fault?

@ 3:08 I hope you are not referring to an RJ story. Next thing you know Gibson and Righthaven will be unleashing their wrath on you for paraphrasing content from an RJ article.

You know, if the R-J's goal with the whole Righthaven business was to keep me from ever looking at their news (paper or internet), they succeeded. I never go there directly, and if I ever accidentally click on a link that takes me there, I close it immediately. Screw those guys.
