Poor Nancy. She must have really pissed someone offe.
One of the news stories again mentions that the feds picked this case up due to some "improper" communications with Ms. Quon from our own AG's office, yet does not mention if anyone there is under investigation. So I ask: Has anyone been walked out of the AG's building lately, or left in a real hurry with their passport and $7K (the amount Quon is alleged to have had on her person when recently arrested)? How about any AG's taking meetings private meetings with prominent criminal defense counsel?
I thought the leaks were from the US Attorney's Office– not the AG's Office
Correct. The Attorney General's office has nothing to do with this. The DoJ has brought in prosecutors from Washington to take over the investigation due to allegations against the local USAs.
