Why is the flamingo cruelty case going to trial. Was there a plea deal offered?

Because the perp is a piece of shit, and he committed his crimes on The Strip.

There is a lot of truth to this. Crimes committed on the Strip, especially if they make the news, are met with unrelenting aggression by the DA’s office. He should have gone after a Goose at Sunset Park.

Perp is Canadian. He was probably (rightfully) scared of geese.

Judge Reynolds has raised $650k total according to the 10/15 C&E he filed today. The man is a machine!

Agreed! I think his 2020 loss has made him wiser and more aggressive on the campaign trail. Kind of like in college football team when a great football team loses upset one Saturday, they are especially dangerous the following Saturday.

Being an incumbent has not hurt either. Ask any judge who ran and lost the difference between an election cycle as a judge and an election cycle without judge in front of your name.

Reynolds is a great person. On top of being a solid judge. A really really good human.

You know when he was running against TCN, the guy actually paid to have her hvac replaced because she was struggling financially and had a lot going on in her personal life. The guy is a great person.

650k is crazy!!!!!! Good for him!!!!

Best part of Reynolds – he does it for the love of the law. He can make way way way more money in private practice. Easy 5x what they pay a judge (sorry public sector people, $200K is a paltry amount). He is doing it because he believes in a fair judiciary.

I have no ill will towards that at all, and I do think he’s motivated by a fair application of the law.

Just weird to hear judge’s perceived to be supported by the plaintiff side accused of malfeasance in their campaign efforts but not the other way around.
