Is anyone else sick in here? Whatever I have has put me down pretty good the last week. Tested negative for COVID so i’m not sure what it is.
everyone is sick.
I got killed in October but have managed to escape anything so far this holiday season.
Whatever I had in October destroyed me. Lasted two weeks and was far worse than the time I got covid.
Did you get tested for the flu? It’s going around pretty bad right now.
Influenza A will keep you down 7-10 days
Caught something too, knocked me out for about 18 hours then quickly dissipated. Thought it was food poisoning, but ate the same as family and no one else got it.
I had it on Christmas. Someone theorized norovirus.
I had a similar experience on Festivus. I felt like I was going to puke, I got the shits, ran a fever and it left as quickly as it came, less than 24 hours. Nobody else in my family got it. I can’t rule out food poisoning because I did not share all the same meals with my fam.

I have NP in my family who got whacked with Influenza A in the last 10 days.
Influenza A is rampant
Emily is clearly the most qualified of the family law applicants which obviously means she will not get appointed. That’s too bad. Family court could use some smart judges.
I respectfully disagree. In my experience with her in family court, her perceived expertise does not match her accomplishments. Socially, her interactions with opposing counsels do not help along cases but rather aggravate them. Just my 2 cents having had maybe 2-3 dozen cases with her.
She’s incredible and would make a great judge. I can’t see the governor reappointing someone who just lost an election…
FINCEN BOI is frozen again after being unfrozen three days ago. What a joke. A lot of wasted resources for something Trump will probably just kill anyway.
I just filed in Odyssey and I didn’t have to confirm my email when I downloaded the filed documents. Did they fix it? Did they actually listen to the users who complained? If so, good job!
End of the year PSA: If you’re looking for the CLE affirmation in the Bar’s website, it’s under the renewal page, not the MCLE page.

I’m assuming you’re sharing this because the Michael Doan who was arrested has some connection to the legal community?
My research shows that Michael Doan is the IT guy for the Clark County Courts. May or may not be accurate. Please cross check to confirm.
So 2 of 6 applicants are from the Roberts Stoffel firm?
Those two have applied for appointment often, have run multiple times and lost, and honestly it sounds like they’re just trying to use donations to get their name out there to drum up name recognition for future business.
Yup
Normally, I would resume my pitch for Kurth.
But we really could use Gaudet back on the bench. His loss is yet another election travesty.
We need Gaudet back on the bench. Voters got that one wrong. They are never going to replace a female outgoing judge from Dept Y with a male candidate though. Oh politics and diversity. Paul getting screwed again it appears
Well, lets have more faith in Lombardo.
(I know. . . . I know.)
Paul got hosed in the election, but isn’t there a rule that if you are voted out you cannot be appointed?
I believe the rule you are thinking about is that judges who were fired by the voters can’t be senior judges.
