Unlike those LVAC employees who did not see the person on the bottom of the pool.

Don’t let the facts get in the way of their snarky outrage. She didn’t attempt to flag anyone down initially and then it kind of looked like she was just floating. I get why nobody noticed right away.

Here is the crazy thing about floating: people who do it face-up are still alive; people who do it facedown for 5 minutes without turning their head generally are not

In a straight commercial-civil, He usually gets it right. I have no beef with him.

Unlike the ID guy at 1130am

There was a comment last week about Judge Sturman going from being an ID lawyer to being pro-Plaintiff. This is so true. I do 50/50 but her rulings are incredibly sympathetic to Plaintiffs and pro se litigants.

I just saw her grant MSJ on a plaintiff case. A few weeks back she struck an expert of plaintiff that gutted the case. I think both of those firms would say she is not plaintiff friendly. It is always funny listening to people whine that judges are plaintiff friendly, but never cite to a decision or fact that shows that bias.

I had her in a case where she talked on an on about her personal feelings and almost cried, she ruled against me in favor of a pro se person in violation of the law, clearly it was an emotional decision for her

I have had it. I am a dog person. Have the maximum amount of dogs that one can have under the local code. But don’t bring your dog to my office and expect me to allow you to bring your dog into my conference room to run around. Attorney Casey Gish runs Camp Bow Wow. You need an hour or two to do business at which a dog is not appropriate? Drop your dog there.

Was clearing old emails this morning and ended up clearing emails from both Robert Telles and Joe Houston. You never know.

The year was 1986. There was a substitute bus driver for my kindergarten that day, and he was taking a different route than I was used to. As the bus was meandering through the streets of my neighborhood, I recognized a shortcut path through an arroyo that I had walked through before. I told the bus driver that he could let me off at the end of that street, and assured him it was my stop. So he let me off, as well as one of my classmates who, for some reason, felt obligated to make sure that I made it home from that street. We walked down the street, through the arroyo, and out through the neighborhood and the park near my house where my usual bus stop was located. When we reached the park, I was surprised to see my mother, in hysterics, along with several police officers. I could have sworn we were saving time by walking from where we were dropped off, but apparently there had been enough time for my mom to call the police when we weren’t at the normal stop. It was quite the scene. There was no lawsuit filed but those were different times, and I hadn’t been let off near the Siegel Suites on Martin Luther King Boulevard.

What would you call the refusal of CCSD to provide special ed services for a dyslexic kid? The white lawyer lottery?

Seriously, wtf is wrong with you?

“Multiple law firms representing the plaintiffs could not be reached for comment on whether they planned to file an amended complaint within the three-week window.” Dimopolous is the lawyer on the case like I am on all of the stuff that I briefcase carry for BIGLAW who come to town.

Weren’t they given leave to amend. Unless they are completely unable to sufficiently amend, how much of a loss is it, really, at this point? Seems like more of a temporary setback. You know, like hitting a manhole cover and just needing to make repairs before getting going again.
