Suprised Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Joe Bonaventure has to run in the general election with an opponent. Thought he would get over 50 per cent. I suspect he should have spent more time and money on the primary so he does not have a general. It would be terrible if he was defeated.

Rob Telles came in LAST. Got beat by both opponents in his primary.

For real? Jessica Goody came in first (albeit by a razor thin margin, and she'll still have to run in the general). Congrats!

As the legally verified Alpha of TTHHWWWAAACCKK, I'm glad that the blog community has recognized my thwackness and that the poser has assumed his new moniker of C&Pfingerpointer.

Thank God you see it (although I appreciate the self-effacing humor). The blog is not dead. There is plenty of worthwhile postings (this particular thread be damned).

A voted for Wilson over Berkley. Don't know much about either of them. She ran a strong campaign it seems. Sort of undecided in the general.

I also voted for Amy Wilson. She ran hard and Berkley acted like a "made man" for the spot. Amy has an interesting background. Berkley was mostly a PD and I am sick of nothing but PDs and DAs being judges. Their experience is so limited.

OP here. Wilson it is then. I was leaning that way, but I always have a hard time with these JC seats. I don't appear there very often and never really know the candidates, so I sort of evaluate from the standpoint of whether the candidate is someone I would like to see potentially move up to DC at some point.

As someone who actually appeared in front of Wilson when she was a Pro Temp, hard no on her. She couldn’t care less about people’s constitutional rights or following the law. She wants to keep everyone in jail and do whatever the prosecution asks her to do. Her temperament is good, but her rulings are very obviously biased.

Always fun this time of year to speculate as to what the Judgment Rate of interest will change. With inflation this year, what is your guess?
