Umm…I’m not sure this is entirely accurate: “Isso, whose real name is Madeline DiCicco” Perhaps someone sent the reporter the wrong discipline decision.
Isso is definitely NOT Madeline DiCicco.
looks like they fixed it.
But now they’re referring to her as Keyser Söze, that can’t be right either.
It was a mistake on my part. Please forgive! Thanks, Dana
Oooh, Dana Gentry is in the chat?? That’s exciting for a news nerd like me!
Dana’s smart. She reads this Blawg regularly. She’s also got balls enough to identify herself, and the integrity to admit, correct, and apologize for any mistakes.
No she is not Madeline. Huge error.
It was a mistake on my part. Please forgive!
It was a mistake on my part. Please forgive! Thanks, Spartacus.
So the best candidate for dept P is the one that refused the interview and we do not know anything about? One has three DUIs and a reckless driving causing injury and bar discipline? Another admits she lost control of her emotions and reasoning yet did not recuse herself and made judgments on others for two years? JFC. Clark County is a shit show.
If you have been around Family Court (and general litigation), you probably know Robert Kurth. While not a fan of candidates not talking to the press, frankly after so many election losses, Kurth might be on to something which is just steer clear of the controversy as a path to election.
Sorry I meant Kurt Smith, not Robert Kurth. Need more caffeine.
What is with all you lawyers getting names wrong? Kurt Smith not Robert Kurth. Isso is not Madeline DiCicco.
Einhorn is Finkle!
Getting names right is for Paralegals to worry about.
Kurt Smith and Robert Kurth could not be more different in the way they practice law. I LOL at the idea of mixing them up.
Don’t believe the tale that Mary Perry has reformed. She has not. The DUI’s are not Isso’s, right? Someone confused her with Madeine DiCicco. Isso is just noncomplaint and arrogant. But it is still a shit show.
The weirdest thing about Isso is that her husband passed years ago and she kept running ads with him in them for years after. It was strange.
No the weirdest thing about Isso is that she does not appear to know how or when to stop talking. Her responses in the press and on Our Nevada Judges just come across as someone who is not well.
She’s in the Youtube comments
Go look at Isso’s Facebook page. Yikes on bikes.
I’m not singling anyone out at all here, but why does Family Court practice attract such a bunch of weirdos and malcontents, on both sides of the bench? Establish the facts. Apply the law to the facts. Rinse and repeat. The client’s drama is not your drama. I don’t understand the constant hysterics.
Tell us you have never handled a contested family law case without telling us you have never handled a contested family law case. Apply the facts? Cute. Whose facts and which facts is the first question. Almost never a single unified set of facts to apply. Apply the law? What law? What procedure. What rules of evidence. Depends on the department, day of the week and phase of the moon. The judges down there tend to run on feels and “cause I said so” logic. The litigants hate each other, and for whatever reason, the attorneys tend to channel their clients. Marry Parry (and most any of the others you may want to name) are the result of practicing (sometimes for decades) in a mostly skewed, some would say damaged, system and they all take the bench with the attitude of “someone did it to me, or did it this way and I liked it, and no one can tell me to do it differently.”
