Trash family court attorneys should not dabble in civil litigation. #thatisall

The loud, emotional arguments are so over the top. I’m the last to call the civil bench good, but compared to the family bench, they’re Learned Hand alive and well. That behavior doesn’t fly with them.

Rare to say in a Municipal Judge race but there are big shoes to fill w/ Cedric Kerns retirement. That noted, I am not familiar with the other two candidates but I presume it will nearly impossible for them to overcome the name recognition of Rebecca Wolfson.

You are on point. However, I think we all know that Wolfson will be headed for higher bench or office sooner than later. Wont finish a single term.

She might be awesome (I have no opinion here). But, she might not. But, she will likely win in a landslide obviating the need for a General Election.
(I think that is still the way it works, in the COLV, right?)

Shannon Nordstrom is solid with an even temperament. I am supporting her.

Canady is another carpet bagger who hasn’t even practiced law for any notable time. Boot her out of the race.

Canady has 10+ years in court administration and is very well-spoken. see her interview here – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kReFx4DYSLI

Thank Rae, still not voting for you.

Court administration is NOT court experience and certainly is NOT litigation.

Since when does “well spoken” make you a lock for Judge?

Rebecca Wolfson has never practiced in any court other than municipal court.

She may be perfectly adequate for the seat she is running for, but would she really try to move up to a court she has never set foot in?

“perfectly adequate” – what an endorsement!

She’s gonna get elected. This is not worth getting worked up about. It is what it is. Things will be just fine.

Until she “graduates” to a winnable seat in the D. Ct. Next election cycle. . . . .

Nobody GAF.

She is a Wolfson, her election is a foregone conclusion, as ist her ascension. She will run for NSC by 2030.

She is going to try to follow the Abbi Silver path of advancement which models the Yasser Arafat model of travel. Never a night in the same place; never an election cycle in the same court.

Rebecca Wolfson has never practiced in any court but municourt? That’s not even remotely true. While she practiced in criminal law in municourt for a couple of years she has been in the civil division of the City Attorney’s office for the past 4 or so years and practices primarily EJDC and USDCDN like the rest of us.

May Sciscento crush his opponents.

Frickin Ava Bravo . . . . Carpet bagger with way more drama in her past life (lives?) than a judge should bring to the polls with her.

Joe is solid and deserves to stay put. Prove me wrong.

I hate to chime in but I got an email today from a Very Important Procedural organization against Sciescento (and his marshal) that probably is protected speech against the judge but has to tread into the territory of defamation about the marshal.

1:58 PM–So agree on Ava Bravo. Nevada Independent did a story on her. See her billboards all over the place. Hope Joe gets to keep his seat. Where is the RJ on running a story which might have wider circulation than Nevada Independent.

Bravo has Letizia so she is getting more mileage than she would have otherwise received.

Not very likely if she’s got Letizia, unfortunately.
