12 Years Ago Today

  • Law
We want to start by taking a moment to remember that 12 years ago today was September 11, 2001. Our thoughts are with those who lost loved ones that day and all those others impacted by those tragic events. Never forget.
Meanwhile, in Las Vegas…
  • Senior Judge Charles McGee (who?) ruled that fired family court marshal Ron Fox can sue Clark County for improper termination. For clarification (because it is hard to keep all the marshal stories straight), Fox was involved in the story with hearing master Patricia Doninger and regarding allegations that Fox improperly touched a woman while Doninger ignored her pleas for help. • The City of San Francisco finally sued the State of Nevada over patient dumping. [8NewsNow]
  • Is Fremont St. turning into a police state on Friday nights? Does anyone care? [Vegas Inc.]
  • Metro has installed 37 HD cameras on the Strip from the Las Vegas sign to Sahara. What happens here stays here and is recorded by Metro. [RJ]
  • At the preliminary hearing for the fake missionaries, prosecutors the “victim” of the home invasion was dealing drugs. [RJ]
  • Two of the charges against the Sovereign Citizens accused of plotting to kill a Metro officer were dropped. They still face a conspiracy charge. [RJ]
  • The RJ’s Glenn Cook (@Glenn_CookNV) claims Lisa Willardsen is behind Nevada Judicial Watch (@Nevadajudiciary

A retort was posted on the NV Judicial Watch FB page which was then copied and pasted onto the RJ's website by Lisa Willardson. The post states how the NV Judicial Watch was amused and flattered to be the subject of Glenn Cook's investigation, etc. Curiously, the post does not deny that she is NV Judicial Watch. Since NV Judicial Watch claims to be comprised of lawyers and judges, would it be safe to say that Judge Jones is likely assisting her?
