I actually personally like Ranked Choice Voting. However, I fear the effect of low information / less intelligent voters misusing RCV because they don't understand it.

Yeah, but, look at what low information / less intelligent voters already do.

OP Here – Exactly what I am afraid of. There is no question that LILI voters have almost completely shit the bed with every single Judicial Election in the past 30 years.

Please leave Johnny Depp out of this! That being said, let's appoint judges and leave voting alone. BTW, What is the added cost of RCV? Where is the money coming from? How many years will it take for LILI voters to learn the new system?

Based on the math, the process delivers on its promises. RCV produces candidates with the widest popular support and who will generally be the least divisive amongst voters. Some may not like that, but there you are. The learning curve, may be an issue. There are roughly 60+ local jurisdictions in the US with RCV, it would interesting to see what challenges they faced in implementation.

RCV is not hard. People rank things in order of preference all the time. I don't think the argument that people won't understand how to cast their ballots has any merit. Also, how does one "misuse" RCV anyway?

To be fair, the part of RCV that is harder to understand is how the tabulation works. And that, unfortunately, will provide fertile ground for conspiracy theorists. As far as I can see, that is the only drawback of the system. Well, there is probably also a cost, but whatever it is, it would be well worth it.

Most on the right like RCV to my understanding. My concern is, however, that LILI's will rank ALL candidates thinking that is what's required. That said, I am in favor of open primaries and will be overjoyed to see the voters flock to Independent or Non-partisan. I for one, remain registered with "my" party only for purpose of primaries.

Jason is a nice guy. Not sure he is US Attorney material but then we have had a run of abusive choices so this is a nice change. If Jason goes through the office and purges the remnants of those dark habits (starting with Steve Myhre) then he will be a welcome addition.

11:17 your so called objectivity isn't really working. You have no idea what you are talking about. The states are banning Plan B. Pharmacies will NOT mail pills to addresses where it's banned. Texas has deputized everybody and given practically ANYONE the ability to sue someone who aids a woman in getting an abortion. So if Jane Doe's friend drives her to Colorado for an abortion, Jane's nosey neighbor can sue the friend. Why not shut your mouth and do some research? You are clueless.

It's been a minute since I studied oral advocacy. Is there a new methodology by which a participant simply screams CNN until the other side admits defeat?

I have used that in oral argument in the past to audacious laughter from the bench and steaming ears from OC.

12:24–you viciously attack 11:17, but no one posted at 11:17 or any time close to it. Was here some outrageous(or at least highly controversial) post at 11:17 that was removed?
