The law prohibiting prospective employers from requesting salary information sounds detrimental. Many people change jobs for the specific purpose of increasing their salary. I hope my salary will be used as a baseline in my next position. Relatedly, if you are laid off or quit a job, what do you tell a prospective employer about the reason you're applying?
Why would you want your current salary to be a baseline for the salary for your next position?
Negotiate what you believe you are currently worth. What your previous employer thought has nothing to do with it. Maybe your previous employer couldn't afford your worth because internal income issues, or high overhead, or anything else. Don't sell yourself short.
I know many attorneys who have taken lower paying jobs. Their current salary would be helpful to get as much money at the new place, like going from a firm to in house counsel.

I'm ignorant re this – prospective employers cant ask what I was making?
They can't ask, but you can tell them. But they can't rely on the wage history to determine the rate of pay. This is terrible, and not a great way to address the disparity in pay b/w genders.

Question, can you apply for a liquor license in clark county with an ITIN number instead of a social security number? I figure the answer is yes as we have many restaurants in town who have at least partial foreign ownership, but I wasn't sure. Thank you.
I need some reassurance I think more than help but I was hoping there was a community consensus on this. I am trying to make sure that I understand how COVID impacted the statute of limitations.
March 12th, 2020– Nevada declares State of Emergency
March 31, 2020– Emergency Directive 009 stays the statute of limitations
June 29th, 2020– Emergency Directive 026 lifts the stay effective July 31, 2020.
Therefore all statutes of limitation were tolled March 31-July 31 or 4 months. Am I reading this right?

No. Only if you needed to file in that period. You don’t get to add 4 months now.
