So Rule 60(b) is now a FULL YEAR?! I just looked up the federal rule and I guess that's where they are getting it from. I hate Rule 60(b) motions so much. So an order will now have to season a full year before really becoming final? That's bullshit. 6 months is already ridiculous, especially for "newly discovered evidence." And yes, I know it's supposed to be evidence that could not have been discovered previously, but that's not how it always goes in practice.

Have to agree in part and disagree in part. Paying someone off to protect your reputation is protected First Amendment activity. It doesn't stop being protected because you're running for office. That's how SCOTUS will rule – thank God for Gorsuch and Kavanaugh. As to Christian Rivera, you're right, here comes the Willie Horton of the 2018 midterm elections. And it will work.
"Paying someone off to protect your reputation is protected First Amendment activity." Citation for this? Not aware of this "right" superseding campaign finance laws.
"Paying someone to eliminate people who would be inconvenient to my plans is also protected First Amendment activity." See Citizens United.
MAGA!

Call Steve Grierson, and leave a message. He needs to be fired.
We had a TRO signed recently. We took it to the Clerk's Office and were told that even counter filing it would have to go through our Office E-File. We explained–its a TRO; it is time sensitive. 29 hours later the Clerk's Office completed the filing of the TRO. Remember when you could walk a pleading to Old Amy and Gruff Cliff at Master Calendar and they just stamped and filed your document for you?
