92.1% of Nevada’s public pensions are from taxpayer contributions–the second highest in the nation. [The Center Square]
If you’re interested in participating in Nevada’s public pensions, now is the time to start thinking about running for judge. Information for candidates is here.
They say ALL publicity is good. Is that true even when you’re representing OJ? Wouldn’t every attorney in town take the opportunity to be OJ’s guy for everything, if given the chance?

NV PERS has changed. All new employees, elected or otherwise, now pay a statutory percentage of their annual pay back to PERS. For district court judges, the starting salary is $165K less the return to PERS for an actual base salary near $143K. District court judges also get insurance through the state which isn't so great. JPs appear to have a higher salary and county insurance which has significantly better (and cheaper) coverage options. Doesn't appear any of the JPs on the list will face significant challengers though, if I were a betting man.
Wow,, how many ways has Malcolm got himself in the news in OJ related matters. Hats off on the publicity.

Could a Goodman lose? .. will he run for JC or take a step up to DC?
He will stay in justice court IMO. And no, can't lose barring some really wild happening.
Yeah. Goodman does one more term in J.Ct. A little more distance from his mysterious "jogging" incident in the "Park" bathroom.
Rather cryptic article on the RJ website re disciplinary action against Chelini and Tobiasson. Anyone have details?
Great, so we have pro tem assholes on the bench in the meanwhile. WAJ
Alexis Plunkett disbarred. Holy shit. Good.
