I will save everyone the time. The man arrested 49 times is 35 years old and has never been sentence to the detention center. While he has arrests for battery and car theft, many of the other arrests are because he does not show up to court.

When should we expect to see any "applicants" for the open supreme court seat? Does no one apply until the last minute?

Everyone waits to see who else is applying before putting the applications in.

And just like that, Victoria Seaman's political career is over. She comes across in the lawsuit and the RJ Article, as a weak whiny shrew, without any corresponding damage to Fiore's "reputation".

Could not disagree more. Reminder Seaman sued the City in 2017 arising out of an auto accident, and her career is just fine. Seaman has Nettles Morris who are going to aggressively humiliate Fiore; remember all she has to do is appear to be more sympathetic than the buxom blowhard.

10:36 AM, How can Seaman's lawyers humiliate Fiore when it is literally impossible to shame her? Fiore will survive all of this, just fine, like it never happened. It's the Nevada way.

Not at all difficult to believe Fiore is capable of what Seaman alleges. Also not difficult to believe that Fiore will emerge from this unscathed. Nevada is a very forgiving place.

Put them a UFC octagon and let them fight it out. Save the court a lot of time.

"Dime" and Fiore do not belong in the same sentence

My comment got taken down so I will sanitize it. Seaman sued the City for an auto accident in 2017 and her political career is just fine. This case will have no political ramifications. Plus I trust Nettles Morris more than anyone who Fiore would hire.

Nettles firm are good people. I have known Brian for decades. However, the Complaint makes Seaman look weak and whiny. I think that she is toast, politically speaking.

In my opinion, suing the city for an auto accident and suing the city for an alleged conspiracy over your cat-fight with "Lady Trump" are two completely different things… Frankly I feel this lawsuit is a little below Nettles Morris (it feels more Joey Gilbert-esque) but, to each their own.

I am not a fan of Nettles at all but there are some truly excellent attorneys at that firm.

It is not really a catfight. The accounts before the litigation have characterized it as an assault and there are witnesses from city staff.

I'm willing to bet Fiore's new bff Sigal Chattah and/or Joey Gilbert will be representing her

Is there a tape or surveillance? The surveillance tapes never show what folks think they show because they are stationary and fixed. Even most subrosa surveillance is useless. Even bank robbery videos are very poor for identification.

I don't think it will hurt Fiore politically. I suspect that people who vote for Fiore will probably support her more enthusiastically if she assaulted someone. Not trying to be snarky or nasty – I truly believe this.

It appears the Fiore-Seaman incident may have been more akin to a "cat fight" after-all… https://www.reviewjournal.com/investigations/report-seaman-and-fiore-share-blame-for-abusive-conduct-tied-to-city-hall-fight-2648930/

Holy hell.

Doesn’t NDOC conduct multiple counts daily? I know the feds do.

This is not the way its supposed to work. If an inmate is not in his rack at count, they count again, quickly ask his neighbors, then lock the place down. SOP. Everything stops, everybody locked down, until the inmate is found.

This is massive failure. NDOC is about to have problems. Like it or not, this is going to be a massive notch in Lombardo's belt.

Working for a "firm" isnt for everyone. Its painful, stressful and often unfair. I did my "bid" in the 90s and could get clear fast enough. Solo work is the only boat for me. Just steer clear of the OBC.

7:18 that is so true, my advice is start joining in Bar activities, run, committees, etc., it is the most convoluted assembly of self-promoters you can imagine but better to join them

718 here.
I used to routinely call OBC (Rob Bare) days and chat them up asking ethical questions and spurring discussion. I wanted them to know who I was and that I was seeking ethical advice in an abundance of caution. That way, when I responded to a complaint, they gave me the benefit of the doubt.

It worked.

I know a lot of people getting ready to leave state jobs depending on the outcome of the election, myself included.

Unpopular opinion – but as a State employee, shouldn't you serve the public office, regardless of who the people elect to that office? Unless you are being asked to do things that are unethical or illegal, which I very much doubt anyone who may be elected in the next round would ask you to do.

Tough to take OP seriously. Guess all bureaucratic opinion is left leaning and fears a red wave.

Kind of like Hollywood celebs threatening to leave the US if Bush, McCain, Romney or Trump were elected.

Obviously no government experience in these replies. Hollywood doesn't magically get 4x the work at the same pay when the president changes. State agency that can happen and has happened.

But, in Nevada that isnt a thing. The bureaucracies just refuse to comply. They do it every time they disagree.

People in state jobs usually don't even know who is at the top much less care, and they would never give up a cushy job to make a political statement, c'mon man be real (I love those YouTube videos where people are out protesting some minutiae of policy but can't name the Vice-President hahaha)
