This nonsense with Jones has to end. How ridiculous is it that we as taxpayers have been, for quite a while now, paying for this guy's vacation while he waits to be defrocked as a judge and sent to prison as a felon? I get the whole innocent until proven guilty thing. But how about not paying the guy $20k per month while he waits to see if he's found guilty? Instead, withhold payments and then pay him retroactively if he's found not guilty.

Yeah, that's not how the whole "innocent until proven guilty" thing works. He's a judge until he isn't anymore, and since he's a judge, he's entitled to get paid.

@ 10:26, I heard that it was by a process server, stemming from some beef with Mark Coburn. Can anyone verify and/or say what the beef is?

9:54 and 9:58 – so glad you two are happy to give away your tax dollars to fund Jones' vacation.

Actually, it's more than just paying for Jones' vacation. The taxpayers are also paying for substitute judges to cover his calendar, so it's double.

Process server and former parole and probation officer Robert Lawson is the alleged defendant in the battery case. Holper is the victim.

Isn't Lawson almost 60 years old and married to District Attorney Susan Benedict?

Did Holper have a costumed nurse to come to his aid? http://wildwildlaw.blogspot.com/2010/09/oh-good-at-least-we-have-theme-now.html
