I’ve been informed that local criminal attorney and ’04 Boyd alum William (“Bill”) Kapalka passed away late last night. Our thoughts are with Bill’s friends and family at this difficult time.
Bill was one of the first attorneys I met through the Clark County Bar. He had the best attitude and personality! He was also a lot of fun to be around while judging the various competitions at the law school (especially with him being an unruly client!!). This is very sad.
This is truly sad. Bill was a good man and provided a good amount of public service in the course of his legal career. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
We are hurting sooo bad. I use to work with for him. He was the best boss ever. My husband and I can't believe it. He was a best friend. We will always love you. Prayers out to the twins, wife & family.
I can only echo what has already been posted. Bill will sorely be missed. He was always the life of the room. He really cared about his clients and worked very hard in the pro bono/abuse & neglect advocacy areas having been honored for his excellent work and commitment. I am a better person from having known and worked with him. FYI – his funeral is this coming Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the LDS Church at 3300North Buffalo (cross streets are Buffalo and Cheyenne). There will be a viewing on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and just prior to the funeral on Tuesday from 10:45-12:45 (both at the funeral location).
Thank you for the information. We went to visit him last week & just didn't think it would be this soon. He was in great spirits w me & my kids giving them highfive.
