Merits of the Christian Morris case aside, i do hope the lawsuit sends a message to the home warranty people that they cant sit on their ass to get stuff fixed, especially necessary utilities like A/C. for whatever reason they think its perfectly acceptable for people to be at home without AC or water, etc for days while they look for the cheapest option
I've had good experiences with our home warranty, to the point that we renewed it after they covered the replacement of our water heater (worth more than the cost of the subscription for a year). But I've heard enough horror stories from others that I know this is the exception, not the rule, and I would be hesitant to get another one if I moved.
Can I ask which warranty company this is that you like?

So is anyone using multiple bank accounts or trust accounts if they have over $250k limit? That would be a nightmare for our firm, but we also have to protect client funds.
We have in the past. Or more specifically we have an IOLTA with interest paid to Nevada Law Foundation but when we have big settlements will set up segregated trust accounts with the interest to the clients.
We contacted our bank this morning and they indicated the $250k is per law firm client, not for the entirety of the account itself. Is anyone considering moving IOLTA from regional banks to one of the big banks?
The IOLTA Account is covered, Whether deposits held for clients may not be covered, or at least it may be an open question. Below from the FDIC website.
"Deposits owned by corporations, partnerships, and unincorporated associations, including for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. The corporation, partnership, or unincorporated association must be separately organized under state law and operate primarily for some purpose other than to increase deposit insurance coverage.
Coverage Limit: All deposits owned by a corporation, partnership, or unincorporated association at the same bank are added together and insured up to $250,000, separately from the personal accounts of the owners or members." https://www.fdic.gov/resources/deposit-insurance/financial-products-insured/
She basically ordered Bonaventure to make a better record regarding why he recused himself (which is an interesting overreach by the District Court but whatever).

I agree. I recently had to deal with the home warranty people and it was a nightmare just getting them to respond. Total rip off.

Don't worry. The Pres says no one will lose money and it won't cost taxpayers a dime.

. . . . . as he drives to the bank to pull out a big chuck of cash.

District Court Judge Jennifer Schwartz again orders Bonaventure to hear the Henry Ruggs case. I don't think she can do that.

I’m confused. Didn’t Bonaventure say he was conflicted? How can a judge order a conflicted judge to hear a case?
"“I’m not going to force Judge Bonaventure to keep the case if he doesn’t think that he should,” Schwartz said."

I didn’t know we could use emojis on here. This is a whole new world! 🗑️
