Go check out Tao's dissent in Oceania v. Cogan — unpublished, Feb. 19, 2020. Classic.

Spoiler alert if you read the dissent, but haven't watched Avengers: Endgame yet.

I think Tao probably gets it right and definitely put a lot more thought into it than the other two. Good thing none of this creates any case law we have to rely on.

Seriously, is anyone surprised that Bulla would backtrack on her prior decision ('vacate our prior decision'), ignore corporate formalities, and "reach for results [s]he prefers rather than those the law compels"?

We (a client) have been told that the Kolesar split will be completed by the end of the month. Not all the lawyers' plans have firmed up. Some are starting their own; some are auditioning at Fennemore. Sad affair but seems like the lawyers are being decent to each other.

Have heard from multiple attorneys that have cases with/against K&L that this is true. Seems like a better end than LSC had, that's for sure.

Seems like an easy way to get out of an expensive lease. Leave and make a new firm.

Just like Garman and Turner. Now go rent a warehouse and become partner heavy again. I am glad that they got the NRA work so I can keep my job there for now.
