Al Roker's forecast is not accurate either and that is detectable every day. Poor Brian. That white privildge is a burden.

Yes, very sad. Vegas icon. The sports guy were saying that he would be on the Vegas Mt. Rushmore along with the Rat Pack, Liberace, and Elvis. I guess Wayne Newton, Steve Wynn, and maybe Oscar should all be up there too.

Do they have a statue of the great Tark at UNLV yet? If not, now would be a very appropriate time to get that underway. Greatness should be celebrated.

It is near the Mendenhall Center. It's great!

There are some good folks at G&S, but it appears that they are suffering from an improved economy. BK was a big driver for them. Check out Gordon's comments in "Nevada Business"

The Nevada Business Magazine Legal Industry Roundtable is worth taking a look at. Mr. Gordon – a legend in bankruptcy circles – notes that predicting the flow of business is a challenge. I do not want to read tea leaves, but that might be a hint?

Frankovich confirms in the Industry Round table that years of discrimination against men in academia is paying off, as men are less and less qualified for high end law. That makes me sad because who will the powerful and privileged women of the law marry when all the guys are mowing lawns and digging ditches? Boyd needs to have a new minority scholarship program whereby the real minority today – men – get a helping hand.

It's baffling to me that two of the most established law firms in Nevada would struggle so much, with LSC going under and Gordon Silver in trouble (if the rumors are to be believed), especially when the economy is actually on an upturn. We should all be making MORE money now that times are good, right?

Yeah, not so much. Economy is not better, especially the legal economy in this town.
Half-Price is shuttering…LSC, toast…G&S….their days are numbered….this is just the start….

I keep hearing the Half-Price rumor, but I also keep hearing the commercials. I would not be saddened at all to see it have to close the doors, but does anyone know if there is any truth to the rumor?

It's like restaurants — they're mostly all chains. Pretty soon the national and regional firms will have eaten up all the locals except PI, family and crim.

I am sorry that the mountain ridge kids didn't get the moment of winning — they were cheated of that but maybe there's a true life lesson — they were so terrific!
