As someone mentioned in the comments, Administrative Order 25-03 shifted some cases between departments in the 8th Judicial District Court. Make sure to check and see how it affects you.

Not to take anything away from Kilmer’s (RIP!) iconic gunslinger role (which IS epic!). I, personally, have always preferred Dennis Quaid’s portrayal in Wyatt Earp.

“On March 28, Clark County District Court Judge Susan Johnson granted Premsrirut’s partial summary judgment, ordering the estate to pay her $366,000 plus late fees. Johnson wrote in her order that arguments about “legal malpractice” failed.”
Does not seem fair that the estate needs to pay “late fees” because they did not pay a bill that was six times what the court found the lawyer was owed. Maybe Premsritut should pay the estate interest on the $1.8 million she claimed she was owed since the judge found she was not owed that amount. If it is not “legal malpractice” to attempt to overbill a client by $1.8 million, what exactly is it?
Maybe people should read the briefing or the order before making comments on here. She was only seeking 366,000 plus late fees (the amount not paid during the engagement). She never sought more so it was a complete win for Premsiruit.

Red Light Camera
When I was hot rodding around ( a long, long time ago in a distant jurisdiction that used red light cameras), you could buy a plastic cover for your license plate. The plate number could be read by police, but red light cameras could not read the plate number. Something to do with camera angle and polarized light.
If still available, it would seem to make having red light cameras rather pointless (and expensive to taxpayers).
Not if the cops cited people for covers over their plates that obstruct the view of the plate, which many jurisdictions do have laws on. Not that police would enforce that here, given that they seem unable or unwilling to enforce no plates, expired tags, and long expired temporary plates.
As mentioned, police officers could still read the plate, not obstructed.

Best title today would’ve been: I’ll be your huckleberry

Well, it sure is less than $2.2m.

lawyering!
Partnership material.
Judge Johnson did not find what the total owed is. She found that it is undisputed as to $366,000 and disputed as to the other $1.8M.
You missed the “partial summary judgment” part. Puoy is not done going after the Estate.

The cover itself is unlawful in some jurisdictions. Doesn’t matter if humans can read the plate or not.
i still see cars with expired temp placards from 2023 and older…..how does this work ? their insurance cant be valid
Or enforce the HOV lane rules. . . . . . Quite literally, 3 out of 4 cars in the carpool lane are singles.
