11:49, you seem a little defensive. It is a politician.

She was congratulating students on their pro bono work but instead thanked them for their "pro-boner" work. It drew quite a laugh from the crowd.

Steve Sisolak is another in a long line of white male politicians who willingly push public schools to the bottom of Nevada's list of priorities. Nevada is consistently ranked in the bottom 5 states for public education. Steve was a leading proponent of the $1.8 billion stadium for the Raiders—this project received $750 million funds from Clark County bonds backed by hotel room tax revenue. There are no assurances for a specific return on the County’s “investment.” When the shine fades on this turd, Steve will be living on a beach. $750,000,000 would have gone a long way to improve schools. I hope the teachers strike until Nevada makes education a priority.

Schools aren't the problem. Parents are the problem.

Schools need to lead on education. Families need to be included in the education process. In many districts there are programs for parents who need to be educated on how to help their children succeed. All of this requires additional funding not less.

I agree that Steve Sisolak is a disappointment so far.

CCSD schools were in the bottom of the US ranking when I was in high school here in Las Vegas (Rancho 67, go Rams). Fast forward to 2019, CCSD is still in the bottom ranking. Maybe someone should pay attention to teacher and district performance? States with far lower spending per student are doing much better.

Utah spends less and gets better outcomes. The difference is that the adults in Utah are much more educated, the parents more involved in their kids lives and the communities are more cohesive than Nevada. None of these differences are easy fixes.

Oh come on. We all know what the problem is, but no one seems to be willing to say it. It's the kids. Get the kids out of the schools, and watch as the expenses plummet.

How many cases does EP have? I thought many Plaintiffs had out of state counsel. And wasn't EP going to waive fees? That is what they said on their FACEBOOK page.
