Here’s a quick post for those of you who still had to report into work today:
- Las Vegas lawyer to pay $25,000 fine for selling taxidermy rhino mount. [News3LV]
- Here’s the RJ’s take on how many candidates filed for judicial office. [RJ]
Re the 'rhino mount'. The story says the attorney contacted the regulatory agency governing what he was selling and they told him that moving forward with the sale would be illegal, yet he did it anyway claiming the transaction was "not for purposes of sale, but an in-kind donation of property". The guy new what he was doing was illegal yet did it anyway. I guess at least he can empathize ,pre with his clients about how strict probation is seeing as he'll have gone through it.
The rhino was undoubtedly killed by his father, the late "Bucky" Buchanan. His house was filled with animal corpses.
I thought it might be Tracy Truman before I read this article. His office is disgusting.
My last minute surprises.
Dept 1: Bruce Gale pulls out (and moves to 21), and another Villani is running.
Dept 6/9/10: No one took on Silva or Tierra Jones but well-funded Bluth drew a challenger. Bad electioning.
Dept 15: Hardy drew 2 last minute challengers. Pick 1 so we can be rid of that nightmare.
Dept 20/22: Both Johnsons drew opponents.
Dept. A: Former Judge Gayle Nathan runs against sitting judge Bill Voy (rather than an open seat)
Dept G: Ben Childs is running for Family Court.
How is it bad electioning for Bluth to draw an opponent? That is the American way. How is she well funded when the filing just happened?
Bad because Bluth has family money (just like Kishner). Cristina and Tierra would not have had as easy of a time raising money.
Nanny Bubbi wants you to vote for Nadig.
All you moron Obammy voters can keep pushing your agenda. Don’t matter. JPH will be retained.
JPH?
i assume they mean Joe P. Hardy
I think the people who have a real axe to grind with Hardy are NOT Obama voters. The largest groundswell of support seems to be from people who believe Hardy is the heir to Walsh in terms of being a toady for the Plaintiffs bar.
