Let's speculate that a partner at Snell makes somewhere between $350k and 600k per year (depending on book of course) – do you think Ford tripled that by going over to Eglet? At least doubled it, right?
You'd have to have a pretty big book and a couple of really diligent associates to make that at Snell. It's possible to make the numbers above; but unless a partner at Ford's level is exceptionally diligent, the range is closer to $250k – 400k.
Anyone know how compensation at Eglet's place is calculated for people not named Eglet? No guessing.
I'm confident that low end partners at the big firm I'm at make about $250k, and I'm pretty sure (although not confident) that the very top ones make over a million. I don't know where Ford is on the spectrum. I find it hard to fathom why someone would leave Snell to go to Eglet–it seems like no one can work with Eglet for more than a few years.
I think Ford's going to Eglet's office was more about him being able to focus more on his political work than he was able to do at S&W. Certainly he isn't a personal injury attorney, nor a trial attorney for that matter. My guess is Eglet gets a prominent democratic leader on his letterhead, and Ford gets a little more leeway than he had at Snell.

Speaking of Laxalt, did his Solicitor General, Lawrence VanDyke, take the bar and fail or did he not take it? Anyone know the story?

Laxalt scares me. .I see him as the Martin Sheen president pushing the button in the Dead Zone. Hope I'm wrong.
Maybe Eglet can hire Laxalt and pay him to just not be Laxalt.

It would be nice to see more posts about judge's rulings in Las Vegas. I think there is more to consider then appellate court record. Some recent rulings are just absurd and warrant people's attention.

Some pretty wild speculation.

Wow to 1:36. No. No he was not making anywhere close to those numbers at S&W. And no he did not triple those numbers by joining EP.

That should say (although not 100% confident)
