If all candidates for governor agree the licensing boards are out of hand, hopefully the existing contracts will be pulled.

The state courts could help by giving less deference to administrative body decisions. Federal courts have freed them up to do so. Actually doing judicial review might be too much work though.

I don’t think your average person actually gets what a mess these boards (including the AG’s that work with them) are until they end up in front of one. It’s refreshing that this is a topic that people can agree on a bit these days.

I was reading all the AG candidates’ pages today and they always miss the point of that office needing to represent the executive branch appropriately. The representation of state agencies, boards, etc. is severely lacking.

Many agencies and boards are authorized to have outside (i.e., non AG office) counsel. I’m not sure if that makes things better or worse.

This is a niche take. The electorate at large doesn’t really care about whether state agencies are getting good representation from DAGs. So campaign websites reflect that.

Forcing judges’ signatures is an interesing offense. Did she threaten, wheedle, or cajole them? Was there any indication of an inveigling?

When you’re a fraudster, they let you do it. Grab em by the pen and force a signature.

Hooge gets his hot grievances from the news … even when no one is complaining. So you’d have to imagine he knows. Notarios and cappers don’t seem like big enough game. There was actually an unpublished discipline order regarding attorney paying a capper. 6 month suspended sentence or some. Literally no one at OBC or Supremes cares at all.

Where does one find an “unpublished discipline order”?

Go to the Supreme Court website and look at the unpublished orders.

Adriana Guzmán Fralick and Danny Tarkanian both support Trump which is all I have to hear to vote for one of the other candidates.

Facts? Danny Tarkanian can’t and shouldn’t get elected dogcatcher, no matter how many times he runs. Guzman said the least-well-read President in the last ten generations “knows way more” than she does.

Nicole for Nevada. Despite her and I butting heads on policies in law school, and you know, the whole graduated from UNR thing, she’s solid. I have no opinion on Conine other than to say that during his term as Treasurer, there weren’t any massive scandals. So, yay for him?

Rememer this? This is a $17 million judgment against Danny Tarkanian and his family in a California real estate deal gone bad.

No, you misunderstand. The comment refers to a knee jerk reaction to anything Trump, TDS. As far as Tark goes, yeah, I then I tend to agree. But he and his wife get an “A” for keep trying.

Danny Tarkanian’s persistence in running for offices he cannot win while simultaneously being entirely unqualified for is truly a remarkable thing to behold.

Does that A for trying include the wife being blitzed on White Claws in middle of a Tuesday? The only reason Danny finally got elected to something was he moved his act to the Nevada MAGA HQ of Douglas County and those voters were only too happy to elect him.

I have an opposing counsel that appears to be having a mental breakdown in real time. They filed an incoherent (literally, not just poorly conceived) motion yesterday. I’m not really sure what to do here.
