The proposed law in Florida is a proposed "law." This is a "law" blog. I agree with deleting the uncivil and insulting posts. In fact, I am the one who wrote that we should be civil. But why delete those of us that were seriously commenting. For example, I simply said to read the actual "law." Your blog – your rules. Just my two cents as I would like to debate in a respectful manner. Thank you.

What was being debated, for those of us who didn't see the deleted thread?

If you Google "Florida passes" in your news feed, you will find the news stories regarding the legislation. And yes it should be able to be discussed rationally but no it was not being discussed rationally and devolved into citations to cites and sites that should never appear on this blog IMO.

I'm shocked to be saying this after practicing 15 years, but this can really turn into a dead end job if you stick around too long.

Nonsense! Practicing law teaches you how the system works. When you know how the system works, you have endless opportunities and a gigantic leg up on everyone else.
