From the title I thought this was going a different direction.

I hope the “in the back alley” comment was not the best example of the racism that she perceived. It sounded like the person gave a kick-ass presentation and was thoroughly prepared with answers when the board tried to push back or question any of her assumptions and inputs. Sounds like a compliment to and I had a hard time figuring out why she took such offense. I wonder why the journalist did not present better examples of overt racism.

Here is my concern: that comment in a vacuum does not seem bad. However there is a great deal of smoke around the Vegas PBS people that they apparently cannot get along with people.

I was alarmed at how many PBS employees agreed with her. Perhaps her complaints should not be dismissed so quickly.

Agreed. For that many people to go on the record is a little alarming. Usually, even when things are really bad, people do not want to get involved or go on the record. There’s obviously a problem.

In a dark or back alley used to be widely used. I hate it that every thing is racist now.

Jeez. I’d write this lady up just for being a pain in the ass. 15 disciplinary write-ups and multiple negative performance reviews! All bc “racism.” Right. Should have fired her when they had the chance.

Some people just wait for the day to pounce on their employer. After firing an employee, they filed a claim w labor commission that they had worked unpaid ot 3 years earlier. Went nowhere but damn some people are ungrateful for a job.

Yeah, the complaint is questionable for sure. But I give zero shits for PBS on this count.

If PBS’s managers really were racist, then they deserve to be hit hard. On the other hand, if they weren’t and the whistleblower is opportunistically crying racism, then its only karma that Vegas PBS should suffer the reputational harm that comes from the mere allegation itself. Over the last decade, PBS and NPR have contributed significantly to watering down the meaning of “racism” and fostering the Salem-Witch-Trial treatment of any accusations of racism.

Example is PBS sucks hemorrhoidal ass and has for decades. They still should’ve fired Whiny McWhinerson. All parties in this case suck.
