  • The Supreme Court of Nevada finally issued an order temporarily suspending attorney Brian Bloomfield’s to allow a State Bar of Nevada disciplinary panel to decide what other sanctions to impose. Bloomfield pleaded guilty to a felony charge in December 2013, but has still been appearing in court and representing clients since then–which begs the question, why isn’t there an automatic temporary suspension when you plead guilty to a felony charge? 10th Circuit today affirmed the district court's holding that Utah's same sex marriage ban is unconstitutional.
